On a serious note, I really have no issue with a child that lives out of a district but has attended a school system all their life.  I can get that. 
But this is my own personal opinion and that’s it,  when you leave a system just to be part of a winning program,  you leave behind not only friends , coaches, teammates, who have all counted on you and help to try develop you throughout the years.  And in probably every situation you have counted on them at some point.  The game of football teaches young men more about life than any other sport.  I just personally feel that one of those lessons should not be,  hey I think that place is better for my personal situation so I’ll just go there.  It’s got to be bigger than one kid.  You learn how to be selfless and not selfish. 
That’s just my own two cents.  So you guys can let me have it, but that’s just how I feel

I agree with this cause I’ve said the same thing before. But….like you stated …..what does it say about the player that leaves a program and his friends behind? If you you mean this statement then why attack the school where the kid transferred to? That makes no sense to me. I don’t see Kentucky people attacking Ironton over the amount of Kentucky kids that went across the river, why is that ? All of this transfer stuff will be over with in a couple years. I don’t think it has anything to do with Raceland. I just think Raceland is the only school in the area that has done major upgrades to their facilities and it’s easily noticeable from 23. I don’t believe a kid always transfers because they want to. It’s usually their parents pushing the issue. And something that blows my mind is …..Raceland could get 10 baseball players and 6 softball girls, 6 basketball players and a couple of track stars and nobody would say anything! Why is that ?? Why is it always football?? Hahah

I guess I’m just old old school.  Always wanted people to know they could count on me.  Always felt like to be a part of building something was always better than joining something.  One of the biggest problems of this great country is that it’s all about me and mine.  And to hell with everyone else

Unfortunately that is the culture we live in.  I think loyalty to a school is all but gone due to travel sports and kids playing on teams together all year regardless of where they go to school.  This isn’t so much with football but it is so in the landscape of all other sports.   I look for the the pay for play travel sports culture to kill high school sports eventually.

I’ve said for years it’s time for club sports. Separate athletics and education all together. We don’t need to have some coaches as teachers. If they wanna coach then that’s what they should be doing. Now I don’t mean all coaches so don’t jump on me for that hahah. We all have had a coach as a teacher at one point and known for a fact that they shouldn’t be a teacher. Let’s do club sports and be done with all this
