I honestly don’t know how this game will go. We just got absolutely destroyed by a Shelby Valley team that had their way with us. We had some early offensive success, but it’s hard to find many positives after the 1st quarter. I do believe that Prestonsburg has worked almost exclusively on defense this week. The rushing game will of course be our bread and butter, but this might be a game that we will have to complete a few more passes in.


West Carter is in a rebuilding year, but obviously this will be an emotional game for them. I’m kind of shocked this game is still happening, but it might be best for those kids from West Carter to focus on something besides the awful tragedy that happened. Coach Barker is one of my favorite coaches I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He’s a tremendous leader, and I know he will have them ready and get the absolute best out of them.
