He's not going to make it to the NFL, so is his college goal to go walk on and be on the sidelines for D1 ball? Or is he more interested in going somewhere where he can play now and make an impact immediately.

I think he would welcome the opportunity to play D1....as a scholly athlete.  Financially....that is probably the only way.
IDK id this is true but I heard the reason that EKU didn't offer him.a full scholly was cause of the Belfry guys that have went there in recent years that ended up leaving. Didn't make sense cause it's a new staff now but that is what I did hear.
I'd just about guarantee that played a part in it. Their were atleast three players from Belfry who went to EKU from the same class one year and none of them finished. Two of the three would have played out all four years if it wasn't for unfortunate circumstances, I believe, but them leaving still wasn't a good look. The other one just quit from what I was told.

When I took my son there for his final visit before he decided where he would go, they asked him about that very thing and said they were kinda hesitant to offer anyone from Belfry anything because they weren't sure if they'd stay. So I would say it was atleast considered when they made Dixon an offer, IMO.
Well in their defense. One was shot, one tore his pec (destroyed it) and the other did quit and just went to school. Sooooo really just 1 of them left on their own without outside circumstance.
Yeah, that's what I said.

No matter what the circumstances were or how unfortunate they were, just by them leaving could still make coaches from that program hesitant about making offers to kids from that school/area. Just the way it works sometimes. I wasn't talking bad about those young men, I know their situation well.
