With the execution of unarmed Ashlee Babbit, this was a case of not even bringing a knife to a gunfight.

Why were the doors of the Capitol opened to the protesters? It looks to me as if Democrats expected that weapons would be found on the protesters who entered to Capitol so that their allegations of an armed insurrection would look plausible.
