Ordinary Americans have done a phenomenal job of making $1200 last 8 months, and whether they need it or not, Congress seems to be headed for a deal to help American citizens and the starving corporations.  

Why the sudden change?  Mitch was staunchly against this 2 weeks ago, and not only will the bipartisan bill pass, but there is likely to be another direct payout.  

Anybody got any ideas what has happened to make the GOP leadership in the Senate come around on this issue?

Trump offered Pelosi a package that would have given twice the relief back in October. Pelosi blocked every effort to reach a compromise with Mnuchin until after the election.

Be that as it may, this is a horrible deal for every American citizen. The lockdowns have left many Americans broke and jobless. As Tulsi Gabbard said, $600 is a slap in the face to those who really needed help through no fault of their own.
