Is it game time yet. One thing the RPI did this year is have the best two teams playing in the class A finals. No matter what the mountains is bringing home the title. With that said I don’t think either team is close to the same team they were first time around. Pikeville may be the favorite but the favorite doesn’t always win. In 2015 and 2019 Beechwood was the favorite. 2015 Pikeville dominated them and 2019 Pikeville IMO was the better team. Just lost a heartbreaker. That’s why you play the game.
Since last time they played Paintsvile has changed their offense. I don’t think they will be as predictable. The Panthers had very young qb and linemen playing that has improved over time. It takes time for younger players to get use to each other.
I think this game will be won in the trenches. If Pikeville gets the running game going like they did at Belfry and Paintsvile has to load box and go Man coverage. It will be over.
If Paintsvile can run the ball, control line of scrimmage and Pikeville has to only depend on its speed. It may well be a close anyone can win game.
My prediction is the team with less mistakes (stupid penalties)and turnovers wins.
