I wish I could post pictures on here through BGR Mobile. The Ashland Daily got a great snap shot sequence of a Raceland defender grabbing the face mask of Paintsville QB Jake Hyden. Not only did he not let go, he jerked Hayden’s head around, eventually pulling his helmet off of his head. That resulted in a 5 yard penalty. FIVE yard penalty. One that most definitely should have been a personal foul 15. And on top of that, the refs let the play continue after Hyden lost his helmet. Unless the rules have changed, once a player loses his helmet like that, the play is supposed to be ruled dead. What’s that say about these refs? Paintsville, once again, had more penalty yards than Raceland. Sounds like these refs just don’t know what they are doing.
