It's possible have 1st and 9 if the 1st play you had a holding call 1 yard beyond the 1st down marker. You would move them back 10 yards from the spot and replay the down. Is that what happened?
No sweetheart. They threw two forward passes in two different plays. The reason I mentioned the LOS is that's how the ref explained it. According to the, it is always lateral if the pass is caught behind the LOS. It's funny to me now, but I was foaming at the mouth during the game! nicker:
