When is it that you speak of, when God was blessing our land -- and when did he choose to quit? Id love to see your timeline of godliness vs ungodliness. As well as causes of each.

You're by no means the first to challenge my assessments regarding spiritual issues as they apply to life in the US. Suffice it to say though the ills with which we are beset are certainly not peculiar to the US. We have nonetheless, become desensitized to the ravages of sin.

For those who were part of the work force by 1965-ish, they knew what it was like to live in the golden age of American existence. There are too many examples to list them all, but one would have never seen a politician openly campaigning and swearing an oath and willing to suffer political death on the twin hills of abortion and gay rights in their bid for high office. Nor would one have heard the Speaker of the House proclaiming people's right not to work. Instead choosing to live off others to become artists and the like.

Nancy Pelosi spoke to musicians and the artistically inclined in Washington DC, and instead of telling those in attendance they should get a job, she brought quite a different message: "they needn’t bother working, because the taxpayers of the United States would cover their health care." Perhaps channeling her San Francisco district, Pelosi explained that without a job they would be free to focus on their talents, passions and aspirations because they wouldn’t be “job locked.”

Now friends that different, but I digress. God's exact timeline is not for men to know, however, embodied within the contrasts I have drawn, with which you seemingly have some dispute, are the evidences of degradation. Everywhere and anywhere one may look, from the content of movies to the way people in traffic flip each other off, that is when they choose not to draw a gun. From cops being executed, to the killing fields of primary and secondary schools to college campuses. But the biggest indicator can be seen in lagging Church attendance. Perhaps to synopsize the answer to your question, the limits of God's patience can be seen in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The city councils of those two cities if you will, publicly (by law) embraced the sin of homosexuality.

Abraham ventured of the Lord, if there could be found 10 righteous men there in Sodom would He spare the city. God said that He would but far less than 10 could be found. Of course there are far more than just 10 "righteous" among us here in this land. Thus short of a rain of fire and brimstone for the moment, certain blessings still prevail. That does not preclude the Lord's ultimate judgment, nor does that preclude the tightening of the circumstances which will at some point cause the swift cascade of judgmental events. Comparisons and contrasts are about all we have to measure the times there Reagan.

When we refer to abortion on demand as 'women's health,' we ARE calling evil good. When the high court condones abortion on demand and the practice of homosexuality, and the US Congress proceeds to pass laws in contradiction to God's written Word, we ARE calling evil good. "Woe" means judgment is coming.

As far as the timetable; Matthew 24:32-33 (KJV)
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

All that must be done to see it, is to open one's eyes.
