For years and on this forum, I have been saying that when America turned her back on God's standards of right and wrong, she left the path of peace and prosperity.
Where at one time God's unmistakable hand of blessing lay on this land, to include America's improbable victory over Germany in WW2, now we squabble on the world stage in an example so base and petty, it gives prestige to the likes of the Jerry Springer Show. So why do I believe the Lord used America to defeat Hitler? God's promise is and was quite simple. Genesis 12:3 (KJV)
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Hitler went about the task of the complete extermination of the Jew. I have absolutely no question that He used America to bring him down.
But as in the case with Israel, America began to spiral in decay. Since WW2, beginning with the insufferable Supreme Court decision which paved the way for liberals to use the now famous 'invisible wall' to separate America, (Separation of Church and State) from the very authority from which her people draw their worthiness to self govern. The moral standards given to man by God Himself as are so clearly defined in the Holy Bible. Which brings us to the main point of this thread, how is it that presently America finds herself in hellish chaos and saddled with a government comprised of two parties locked in a war for which the victor supposedly, will win the hearts of the people. Qualifier; the hearts of conservatives were won at the birth of this nation.
Isaiah; 5:20 (KJV)
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Let me give the commentary opinion of J. Vernon McGee for Isaiah 5:20.
"This is the fourth sin against which the fourth 'woe' is leveled. It is an attempt (by malcontents in government in our case) to destroy God's standards of right and wrong by substituting man's values, which contradict His moral standards. This is the confusion that comes upon a nation when they abandon God after He has blessed them in the past for their acknowledgement of Him. England is a present-day example of this, and America is fast deteriorating in the same direction." (Boy did J. Vernon ever have that right!!)
We've gone from the glorious blessings of post WW2 to the moral chaos and Congressional gridlock of present day. I know the sun still shines and things are mostly the same in some small-town safe havens which have yet to feel the total burden of the oppression besetting this land. But make no mistake, the steady encroachment of secular humanism has brought grief to our own door steps and the pain is coming. Where at one time in recent past on Sunday mornings families fell out for Sunday School and Church, now folks stay in bed and rest up from enjoying the weekend. But the governmental embrace of abortion on demand and gay rights are evidence enough that we are as a people, totally without rudder. The US Supreme Court had absolutely no right or authority whatever to overturn God's mandates regarding the above mentioned sins.
What no nation has been able to take from us with force, it seems we have laid down willingly and without a second thought.
