When I was attending Lawrence County as a student, we never really felt like we were a 16th region team. We feel that our best fit is with the 15th region teams. It's not like this alignment is anything out of the ordinary. If I'm not mistaken, isn't North Laurel and South Laurel in opposite districts? And they are separated by just 5-10 miles......nobody is going crazy about that. To be honest, these districts need to be more even. Nothing is perfect geographically. But some districts have it easier than others, and the talent doesn't make for a great regional tournament. Just my 2 cents.
