Not really.

Those are still technically runs and counted as such. The little jet pass is technically a pass, but I don't know a single coach who actually schemes them as such. The whole design is simply a running play where they don't have to worry about slowing down to take a handoff.


I get the argument against counting it as receiving yards, but it's still technically a pass since it went forward. But, theoretically and schematically, it's purely a run.
