Polls that show Trump trails Hillary in the campaign by a wide margin are not wrong. People should not judge other people's character and polls based on where they stand on Donald J. Trump. That is what Trump does.

Now, back to the thread topic. 538, and I do not consider Nate Silver's analysis to be any more valid than dozens of other political analyst's opinions, now says that there is an 83 percent chance that Hillary Clinton will win the presidency. The RealClearPolitics average of national presidential polls now gives Hillary and edge of 7.0 percent.

The latest state polls have Trump trailing in every single recently polled battleground state. Not only that, Trump has placed traditionally Republican states like Arizona and Georgia into play.

Since 1952, no Republican has ever lost among college educated white voters. Trump trails in that demographic.

You are old enough to know what a conservative and what a good presidential candidate looks like. Trump is neither.

I've also cited 538 on a number of occasions. And I'm old enough to know when somebody is lacking to the point where they take the easy road and try to take me to task using my own ideas. I also know the same guy who in one breath says he doesn't have the time or the inclination to argue with me, only to immediately demonstrate that cannot then stop himself from doing just that, isn't exactly that well grounded in real terms.

Romney looked like a good candidate and still got beat, and for exactly the same reason Trump now trails in the polls. The media lie like the dogs they are, and you like them, can neither resist barking with them or chasing after them. This is not about a good looking candidate. Paul Ryan recently said the same thing I have said, in that the Republican Party is in a fight to rediscover their soul. For decades now they have allowed the Dems to define both parties (not that I believe he can actually connect the right dots). That being the case, to hear them tell it, Dems are nearly godlike in their intellect, generosity and compassion. And of course the Republicans to hear Dems and the media tell it, are lying, greedy, and passé relics of another time.

You do base your absurdly illegitimate views on what the media tell you, and like I said, it aint quite over yet so you might want to save that victory lap for a time more apropos.
