What untold story accounts for John Hardin being ranked #3 in 4A with as many first place votes as #1 Johnson Central? Of course there are factors such as illness and injuries that are not reflected in scores, but nothing does a better job deciding which team is the better of two teams than a head to head match-up - particularly when one team thoroughly dominates that game.

Hopefully the three people who saw fit to rank John Hardin #1 this week will put a little more thought into next week's voting. Like I said, it won't get any easier as the number of results to consider will increase every week. It's fine if a voter believes that their expertise is such that they can take into account injuries and other factors into the rankings for teams throughout the state in addition to the scores that determine winners and losers. However, the least that they can do is learn which of the top contenders in each class won and which ones lost.
