Amen to that. They also boo the cheerleaders and the PHS band strikes up and plays when the opposing cheerleaders take the floor. That is simply unsportsmanlike conduct and bad taste.

Paintsville's band directors are very cautious about playing during time outs. Even if they were to play while another team's cheerleaders were on the floor, it would be wise for opposing fans to follow their cheerleaders instead of worrying about "sportsmanlike" conduct from another school's band...and it's not as if any other band has ever done it.

The matter at heart is this: the only reason anyone should be in that gym is a ballgame. Cheerleaders, bands, and the like are honestly unimportant in comparision to the game itself.

If anything is in bad taste, it would be pointing fingers and laying blame, as though Paintsville is the genesis of all unsportsmanlike conduct.
