Belfry vs. Central Class 3A State Championship
Objective Wrote:22-46 4 int and 5 tds for a total of 459 passing yards does anyone know what this is ?.....Well this is Belfrys one dimensional football game and the inability to pass. So all Central has to do is go back 3 weeks redo what they did against Bell and load the box with 9 to 10 and Belfry will face the same problem. To may athletes in the Box. Now Belfry is big and strong and will score 14 but Central puts up 27.

Central is to much to handle unless Mother nature decided to bless Belfry with another state championship. If it had not been for an Ice storm last year Wayne Co would have spanked them

So much wrong with this post.

For starters the bolded. Why do you feel Central will put up 27 against Belfry? Belfry's defense is much stronger than Bell County and Corbin. Belfry has only allowed 27 twice this year...one of those was to Johnson Central when Belfry was missing 6 defensive starters... the other was to Pikeville.

Secondly, the sour grapes about last year is absolutely unfounded.

Watch the game again and you will see Belfry being hurt by the weather just as much, probably more. Belfry fumbles twice in the redzone including on the one yard line. Belfry also has two wide open TD passes that Taylor had beat his man by 15 yards that Warren couldn't get the ball out to him.

Wayne County only had one drive the entire game that really threatened Belfry and that was the one before the Half.

On a dry field with a dry ball Belfry wins by 2 TD's. Just because Wayne County's offense was built for August doesn't mean they deserve to be State Champs. Wayne had no rushing game and Guffey never felt comfortable throwing across the middle.

To even think Belfry and Bell are comparable offensively shows you have not watched Belfry play. Bell's biggest weakness was lack of speed and playmakers. Big, strong, and slow. That is not Belfry.
