Johnson Central vs. Greenup County 10-10
#11
Scotty_Bronson Wrote:Ugly ugly ugly. Johnson Central has way too much to handle for Greenup County. GC defense is not too bad, but offensively I don't have enough to score to keep this gain competitive.

JC 54
GC 12

Greenup County is in the same situtation JC was in during the '01, '02 and '03 seasons.......

I would like to see Greenup County get back on track..... we will be playing them for at least four more seasons in the new district alignment.

JC wins this game Friday night..... and yes, it could be a slaughter. But I'm gonna say it will be around 45-14.

When Alabama played UK last season, Bama's 2's and 3's were better than UK's 1's. I'M NOT COMPARING JC TO ALABAMA.... AND I'M NOT SAYING JC'S JV/FROSH ARE BETTER THAN GREENUP COUNTY'S VARSITY.... what I am saying is, no coach in their right mind will ever tell the players not to give 100% when they are on the field. If the JV/FROSH can score or stop the other teams varsity..... that IS NOT A COACH RUNNING UP THE SCORE.

If a coach leaves his varsity Off. and Def. in the entire game.... against a team who they clearly overmatch (there are some games when running up the score and blowing the other team off the field is acceptable).... then yes, that is unsportsmanlike. But.... pulling the starters when the game is in hand, and the JV/FROSH can still make plays and score against the other teams starters is a different scenario.
