You're telling adolescent teenagers their only response is to fight or flight? So that automatically gives them the notion that walking away is a cowardly thing to do. No wonder. I hope they don't carry that same thinking into the work force?

You miss my point. All of us, when faced with danger, have a fight or flight response. It is human nature and medically documented. I personally do not ever believe there is any reason what so ever to fight. But it happens everyday. You cannot teach until you have a teachable moment. A child does not understand the meaning of hot until they get burned. Coach will use this to further instill good moral character in those individuals involved. Coach cares way more about helping young folks become productive citizens than winning any ballgame. We at Lawrence are fortunate to have a transformational coach such as him.
