I feel bad for the kid who's record was broken. He did it under the strain of a real field goal situation. Opposition in his face trying their best to block the kick or pressure the kicker to miss. This one had none of that. Far to easy to be considered a record breaking FG. The kid who kicked the real field goal has been robbed. The rule stands, but it's a shameful way to get the record. There is a truth that you guys can scream and haller about!:yikes:

If I'm correct, the sophomore kicker for Johnson Central already tied his record. So, if this 60 yarder didn't count then the young man would still be sharing the record with somebody.

I'm sure now Matney will have him kick a 60 yarder just to shut everybody up lol. But for a kid that's a sophomore to be this good of a kicker, that's just insane. Hope he gets some good looks from colleges!
