It is a remarkable kick. I do think there is a big difference in the 2 kicks and should be listed as 2 different records.
A 99 yard TD pass and a 99 yard TD run all count as 6 points but they would be listed as 3 different records. 99 yard pass, 99 yard reception and a 99 yard run. They would not all 3 be listed a tie for a 99 yard TD.

I don't think anyone would argue that there is not a difference in Pack's record tying 58 yard FG and his record setting 60 yard FG. Besides them being kicked differently, one was longer than the other. But it's not his fault that the present rules counts them both as just a FG. He had to play under the rules that were in existence at game time. Maybe after all the discussions the KHSAA will change the rulebook. I know this is the first time, this has come up, to my knowledge, but here it is or there it was. Those that have a problem with it should lobby the KHSAA to change the rules before Pack or someone else breaks the 60 yard record with the same kind of kick and the Civil (or Uncivil) War starts again.

But it still is a great accomplishment for the young man. Congrats again Tyler! :Thumbs:
