Free Kicks standing as FG records. Agree or disagree?

However, to say that because the record was broken on a free kick it should not be classified as a state record as a FG does question the validity of the record and therefore the integrity of the accomplishment. That, in my opinion, is why some feel that it is a shot at the player who, as some have already pointed out, held the old record of 58 yards on a conventional FG.

To my knowledge that has never been said. Everyone has stated that it was a legit FG and State Record.

I also wanna point out that I was wrong on the Fair Catch Kick (NFL) and Free Kick (High School).

I said that it was used in College. It was banned by the NCAA back in the 70s.
