Hawkins was offered before the state final, but was told to keep it quit until the roster made it's way out. Randle never was committed prior until his announcement and Hawkins had nothing to do with UL's championship run. Any rumor saying Randle had been committed prior, is just that, a rumor and no knowledge of the recruitment. Randle had that date scheduled way before UK was knocked out of the SEC tourney, let alone the NIT. If had been Wiggins instead of Hawkins, then you may have been onto something with UL's run ;-)

Randle was committed to UK long before the announcement. It's just a matter of how long, some say Christmas, others say January or February. Jason Jordan all but let it be known to the whole world if you follow him.
