You can charge this unforced IU-UK turnover mostly to Kentucky's Calipari

We play Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and every other year teams like Arkansas (will be tough with Anderson coaching), and now Missouri. Yeah, they are conference games, but since UK has to play those teams at home do you really think he would fear Indiana, or any other ranked team? That home streak will be tough to defend whether we play Indiana or not so it's not like he would be weaseling out of anything. This past year Kentucky played UNC at home. UNC was loaded. Do you really think he was afraid to play them and lose his home winning streak? His team sure didn't reflect that. Calipari would trade a home loss for a national title any day of the week.

Indiana returns a lot from a team that greatly, greatly overachieved. I really doubt that Calipari fears playing a team that is going to be tough for anyone, but probably not at the #1 ranking that everybody thinks they will be. Indiana will be good for years to come with Tom Crean at the helm. They are a good team that will be highly ranked throughout the course of the season and could make a deep run, but it's not like UK would have been playing the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat. It's not like Calipari didn't want to play them at all. And the same goes with IU, they wanted to play us as well. The terms of the game just didn't work out. This has happened with quite a few teams in the past. I guess because of the title this one is publicized a lot more.

I'm sure Calipari is worried about losing his home win streak in the SEC....
