Everyone keeps bringing up basketball & baseball, comparing them to football. When those two sports go to playing in a class system, then hat conversation may be relivant. Until then it's like comparing apples & oranges.

The deal with 0-10 teams going to the playoffs, isn't to cut teams out of the playoffs or prevent blowouts in the first round. My peeve with it is more that when I was in high school, it was more prestigious to go to the playoffs. Now it means nothing because everyone goes. On top of that comes the blowouts etc. When it was a 4 class system, you use to be able to go to a good playoff game any week and it be entertaining. Now it's not as much & the TRUE football fans sit at home listening on the radio rather than going to a game. The state is still losing money by the extra games.

Nope, that was not the argument. Had you read the comments, it was about everyone stating that only the top two teams should go to the playoffs. My argument to that is that if you only allow top two teams, then you should change it for all sports! You are going to have 0-??? in other sports, so we should eliminate them from playoffs in all other sports as well!
