What is the average distance and hang time of a high school punter?

In other words a 45 yard punt that hangs for 4.5 seconds or a 40 yard punt that hangs for 4.0 seconds, or a 50 yard punt that hangs for 5.0 seconds.
Yes, on average. However, it appears that hang time declines (in reality) after about 45 yards from 1 second per 10 yards to maybe half a second. When you look at NFL punters, their hang times for the big booming, let it all hang out punts usually max out right around 5 seconds. I don't know if that is because of a difference in how hang time is calculated/measured, or what, though. But with the speeds associated with today's game, a hang time of 4.5 to 5 seconds generally cuts down significantly on returns. A punter who can perform under pressure, and with accuracy, is a very big weapon.
