Good. I really wasn't trying to insult 2dog and certainly wasn't intending to insult the managers. Again, I know most of them and I think it's great that those young kids are up there and involved in the football program. I just see no real benefit to beating a team by 60 plus points just for the sake of winning by 60 plus points and didn't appreciate the intended "slap" by him saying he thought he was talking to a woman when responding to my post(particularly since I'd played for Highlands, was pretty successful at doing it in some people's eyes, and have given a lot of blood and sweat to the football program over the years since).

Win handily, get the back ups in early in the second half so they can get some experience to prepare them if a starter gets hurt or to prepare them for the following year when they start. I'm fine with that.

I just thought the tone of some posts was that we needed to humiliate the kids on other teams. I know some think "it's football" and that is somehow akin to "locate, close with and destroy the enemy". I view high school athletics as being different than that.

Even if one does not put any weight into the sportsmanship concern of beating teams by 60 plus points, one should consider that we have a hard time filling out a schedule, per Dale. Humiliating kids, coaches and opposing teams makes that task much more difficult. We had to schedule Ryle twice in 09 and 10 or be forced to play a 9 game schedule. Fortunately, for the next two years we don't have that issue. Beat some of the teams on the schedule by 60 plus points while keeping starters in the game the entire game and I'm sure some on the schedule will not re-up in a couple of years. Plus coaches of other teams won't want to schedule us either. If that happens we could be faced with playing an 8 or 9 game schedule, which is not good economically for the program ,or nor is it good for the preparation of a team for the playoffs.
