Yea, i agree, thats what i was talking about in my original thread.
The website needs to be updated a lot better.
The OBI thing amazed me too, they must have had some athletes that year, i cant recall them ever doing anything like that.

I remember the 1983 OBI team well. They were very good. Cawood was a state power in 83 and I think OBI beat the Trojans 120-100 or something like that. OBI had two high scoring guards (one was Brown and I don't recall the other) and a 6'7" center named Samuals. Evarts had a very good team that year as evidenced by the Wildcats upsetting Cawood and Cumberland, both powerhouses in 83, on back to back nights to win the 52nd district tournament. Evarts beat OBI 98-92 in one of the most entertaining games ever played in the 13th region tournament. Cawood beat Clay Co in the 13th region semis in OT. Middlesboro won the 13th over Cawood on a very controversial basket at the end of regulation. 1983 was a great year in the 13th region. I think Cumberland had 7 players on the 83 team that played college basketball.
