Coach Salmons Out at Lawrence County!!!!
#60
I think it goes without saying that Burchett would be the obvious choice. He has the most experience, every team he has assisted or coached has had an incredibly productive rushing attack and he could bring back a little bit of pride and tradition to the Bulldog program.
As for the other coaches mentioned for the vacant position: they all seem like they would be good for the program, but not as the HEAD man. Maybe with a few years under a seasoned and experienced coach like Burchett, but not without being proven. The LC football program is back on the rise. A young, and/or inexperienced coach would only run the program into the ground.
The logical hire would be to get Coach Burchett back in LC and hire another prospect to take over when he decides to retire. But the current system has made some pretty ridiculous decisions in the past few years and it's really hard telling what the people of LC should expect. But I guarantee they are with me when I say something needs to happen to put the fun and excitement back into Bulldog Football. Seems like everything changed after the "Chuke" era.
