Great coaching is at least as important as natural talent in building great teams. Kentucky is blessed with some outstanding coaches and some of the teams that you dismiss as inferior can and often do beat more talented teams from bigger football states that are not as well coached. The top teams have both talent and great teams but there are many teams in Texas, Florida, Alabama, etc. that are not top teams.
