Belfry has also seen an influx in a few more WV students in the past couple years due to the fact that Williamson, Burch, Matewan and such are closing due to consolidation. Students in Williamson do not want to travel 45 min or more to school when they can be 5 min from their school. This does not apply just to football, the majority are there just because its closer.

On a logical note for the families, that makes sense.

However are they changing residence into KY? Is tuition charged high enough to cover their expenses?

I would have a problem if out of state students went to my local school system without some compensation because KY tax dollars should not be paying for the education of WV residents. :dontthink
