Because this kid is nowhere to be found on the D1 recruiting scene so if he was that great of a talent, he'd already have several offers and everyone in the state would know who he is. Do it in a close game and I'll take my hat off to the kid. If it's a matter of running for over 500 yards, he could also join the cross country team and do that every weekend!

This just minimizes what the record stands for as it doesn't appear to be achieved in the spririt of competion, rather in a contrived situation!

I'll be much more impressed if he can gain over 100 yards if his team gets to play Highlands in the playoffs!

Point is, the kid is not at fault as he only did his job and we'll never know if others could replicate this because their head coaches won't allow them to humiliate an obviously beaten opponent!

JJ is a junior and this has been his break out season. He has another season to prove himself to d1 schools. He has already done it to VTech's wrestling coach. I think he has proven himself against quality teams as well. Boyle was impressed.
