Sorry but I think this record is nothing special as many others have stated. The kid played hard as he should but records are meant to showcase exceptional efforts against competitive opponents and this was not the case here.

Any of 20-30 other current RB in the state could have accomplished this on many occasions and the fact that the coach allowed a team to score uncontested in order to allow this to happen makes this record tainted.

Also, I heard that the player and coach are related so that at least explains why the coach would go to such extreme measures to do this but if I was the kid I'm not sure I'd want the record knowing the way in which it was obtained.

As far as I'm concerned, this coach isn't fit to lead high school kids with this obvious lack of character and sportsmanship that he displayed!:booo:
