Allow me to say that Rock's biggest rivalry right now is Bell County, forget what else is said. I agree with what was said earlier, games have to be won AND lost to have a rivalry. Bell has beaten some very good Rock teams and Rock has beaten some very good Bell teams. That is a rivalry to me.

When you look at the ALL TIME record as being 18-9 in favor to Bell, you think it is domination, but you have to look at the fact that at LEAST 3 or 4 of those losses were for Regional Championships or to have an appearance in the R.C. Madison Southern has a hard time MAKING the playoffs. How many teams can say that they have cost Bell county 2, 3, or 4 Regional Championships? Not many, I could probably count them on one hand.

I would like to say that a team like M.S or Wayne County is Rock's biggest rival because Rock almost always beats them, (never lost to M.S.) but for a rivalry someone has to be beaten. When was the last time Middlesboro beat Bell?

I will say that Knox Central is becoming more of a rival than they used to be because Bell county has been the super-front-runner for the district for 3 or 4 years now. Knox-Rock has been a great fight for a few years now. So I have to say Bell is still the rival.

Not to completely disagree with my fellow Rockcastle fan i have to add something. It is very nice to have complete domination over another team like Southern. The reason it is not a huge game to me is because eventually one of two things are going to happen:
1. Madison Southern WILL win a game someday. It may not be this season, it may not be for 150 years, but one day it will happen. They have some good athletes in Berea, for example Rico Brown is playing at WKU, I am pretty sure.
OR
2. They will fall off the schedule. Remember whenever Rockcastle used to beat KCC by scores like 76-0 65-0, etc.... eventually, they went off the schedule. It may have been redistricting or regional shifts, but either way they are no longer on the schedule, just like Bourbon County.

Those are the reasons Madison Southern is not that important to me. I will say that the fans REALLY come out to the M.S. games though. BUT the crowds are EVEN BIGGER for the Bell-Rock games whenever Bell and Rock fans feel like the game will be good. Rock vs. M.S. is big for school kids and people under 20. Bell vs. Rock is big for the area and die-hard football fans.
