Really???? You havent been around too long on these message boards if it is. Mingo Central was used numerous times in the past and although it still tickles me it should be trashed for something a little fresher.

PCC should have a pretty good team next year. I can see them challengeing Belfry and SC. With the additions they have added this off season, they are right there with both schools talent wise. Coaching matters, and PCC has one of the best.

Yes, coaching does matter, their enthusiasm trickles down to the players. It amazes me that Breathittt County did not move **** and high water to keep Coach Chapman. Every State Championship they won he was there. The people in Breathitt know what they've lost it's the people at the top that don't care. Their loss PCC's gain.

Pike Central will not be a easy win. Them days are over with. With the Shouse kid waiting for the Kshaa for the go ahead. Boggs is ready and if the Fugate kid makes the move that is three strong add ons. Add them with the young ones they have you have a very good ball team.

I heard Richard was going to go too, but I figured he wouldnt go. Will josh fletcher go with him? They are best friends.

I dont think the Fugate kid and the Trent kid will be going anywhere. Both of their family's still reside in Breathitt County and I don't see how they will be eligible to play next year. The Shouse kid will be eligible due to the fact his mother has moved to Pike County but the other two would not be eligible. I don't think Chapman wants to draw to much attention to his program at this time by recruiting Breathitt's best talent.
#40
Recruiting no one has said that. Aint heard a thing about the trent boy. I would think people would do there home work before they would just put there kids in another school.

Brayton's dad was offered a job working in the coal mines in Pike county, so if he takes it and moves there, Brayton should be eligible.

Yes, you are correct!! Talked with a very prominent figure with the mining company believed to be offering the job and it is true. The puzzling thing is that according to my sources the father said that the school he will be attending might not be the one every one is talking about.:eyeroll:

Sounds like the pond creek nation is starting to worry just a bit!
#47
As long as Chapman is at Pike Central, everyone is 3A better be worried. He is a great coach and now players are starting to see that and come his way. Belfry runs a old style offense and Pike Central runs a more exciting style and kids would rather catch and throw instead of run the Belly!

What would they have to worry about?

From what i hear, it may not be either central or belfry.

Found out today that Braytons mother is also looking to transfer to Pike county to work as a postmaster there. I know they are looking for house in Pike county right now. I think it will just be a matter of time before he is at Pike Central.

First off, Belfry has nothing to be worried over. I have no idea why this seems to be a "factor" of discussion on a Pike Central thread. Whether or not Pike Central gets their four new players LEGAL will be decided by the KHSAA. JUSTIFIABLE moves are a little harder to prove than some of you may think. I hope everything is on the "up and up".... Yep, I sure do...

This was not a "factor " in anyone from Pike Central's discussion until post#6 from bucslover66 brought Belfry into it. I will assure you that the folks at Pike Central don't worry about what goes on at Belfry nearly as much as you would hope. We all know how it operates at Belfry in regards to transfers and that's just the way it is. People in this area never whined around about Belfry getting players for Mingo or even having our own players transfer there. We roll with it and do our deal. We worry very little about the comings and goings at Belfry.

The moves they have made all will be playing at Pike Central, and yes Trent could be right there also, and that means the whole 10th grade class is goners,so whats happening ,dont seem like this could/should happen to one of the most feared programs in mtns, but shame on who ever is cause of players and coaches leaving, but all will fall soon i do believe!!Fugates family will move there,Father is all ready working there, and shouse has moved and has addy there so why would they not getta play,Chapman is with out a doubt the best coach and never would people realize what it ment for Bobcats not having him,but when they win it all this year people will see what a great coach he really was!

CoachM Wrote:Sounds like the pond creek nation is starting to worry just a bit!

I would think that Belfry is accustomed to competing against Breathitt Co.!!!!:eyeroll: It just seems like with all of the transfers coming in that some feel like they cannot win with their own kids, that they have to go out and GET kids from other schools.
#56
I don't think that I would be talking about kids transferring into another school if I supported Belfry......get real. And when does one kid transferring from Breathitt....maybe two (that's yet to be seen) make a team. Pike Central has plenty of talented young men....Maybe that's why others want to come there. Pike Central has had one family move into Pike County from Perry County and one family from Breathitt and for some reason it's a big issue. Has anyone taken a look at the economy lately? People have to go where they can get a job........ Why all of a sudden is there so much concern about Pike Central? Has anyone looked at the rankings in academics for Pike Central.....I believe it's one of the highest in Eastern, KY. I believe there must be some people getting worried.....:eyeroll:

The Boggs kid has been approved by KSHAA. One down.

so does this mean that Breathitt will be down or something???

Hi, my name is Gina Shouse and I am the mother of Cory Shouse. I have been told that there has been a lot of speculation about my child. First and foremost let me state that Coach John Paul Chapman did not recruit my child. I have lived in Breathitt County for twenty years and relocating has been one of the hardest decisions of my life. My family live in Pike, Floyd and Knott County, with my pending "DIVORCE" I decided to get closer to home. After deciding to move to Pike County I chose Pike County Central because of Academics. Cory is a 4.0 student and always has been, he was Breathitt Counties Robinson Scholar in 2009. The Robinson Scholarship is a full 4 year Scholarship to the University of Kentucky. Academics comes first and sports come second, always has always will.
To all the Bobcats and their fans that we leave behind, we love ya, we miss you, good luck with your upcoming season. Go Bobcats!!!!!!!!!!
To all our new friends at Pike Central, Go Hawks!!!!!!!!!!!!
