You are comparing what happen last summer to right now in the tournament?

Warren, Mason, West Jess are all better than valley.Wasn't Newport and Shelby Valley in the same All A state tournament? Didn't Shelby Valley win that tournament, for the second year I might add? Why shouldn't Shelby Valley be in the top 5? Anyone that can go to J-Town and beat a team of that caliber by double digits is a quality team.
Corbin shouldn't be near kcc ethier
Newport didn't really overwhelm me in Richmond in the All A. Maybe they had an off night, but if I'm not mistaken they were defeated by DeSales. However after looking at my rankings I agree, I probably got them a little too low by a couple oif spots.

I think this is funny. Aslan putting Knott near the bottom of the ratings. But, if Perry would have won and been going to state, I gaurantee he would have Perry ranked in the Top 10. Amusing!! :ChairHit:

Being from the 14th region I would love nothing better than to see Knott Central go deep into the tournament, even win it if possible. However, I'm not sure they have the size to go very far. Could very well be a one and done. One thing that might help them in their first game is that Butler is not a big team either. They rely on quickness and defense, that's what I have heard. If KCC's guards are on in that game, and also if they protect the ball, they could be okay.

You said you agreed with the rankings and the only change you would make is switch Knott and Corbin! Where is all your buddies King360, zagafan, and all the Perry followers, I've not seen too many comments from your boys since the loss??? :thatsfunn

I know this is march madness and anything can happen but how many of these teams do you think have a legitimate chance at winning the sweet 16?

West Jessamine isn't gettin enough respect. Polson led them to the Semis last year and I wouldn't be surprised to see him do it again.
Just sayin....

Ballard and Scott County. Maybe Christian County.
I think Saturday's first semifinal game is the championship game. Both those teams have so much talent it's going to be difficult to knock either one out of the tournament. They have to play one another to do that.
03-12-2010, 04:58 AM
West Jessamine has one of the easier roads to the Semis last year and it sets up again this year like it did the previous year.
03-12-2010, 08:59 AM
Kinda true. I was just talkin about the ones ranking West Jessamine below #10. They are, at least, one of the top 10 teams. IMO
03-12-2010, 09:14 AM
^I have them as #6 in my own poll. Solid ball club....

Nor should Newport, considering they did not have one starter, and just got another starter back that week!

You put Christan County twice. Once as "County" and the other as "Co."

play_maker Wrote:Yes valley did have a team over the summer but they did not play Newport....
But they did play Scott County twice, once at Pikeville College for a tournament, then at the KBA in Lexington. Dakota Euton and Chris Jackson played, I know for sure. They beat them both times. I know that was this past summer, but we are ranked 1 and 2 in the state. Starting 5 seniors who was also there last year, definitely helps. Plus Elisha Justice has gotten better and better. He is much more solid, leads the state record in steals, and is solid in not turning the ball over.

There is a big difference between summer ball, and the sweet 16.

ukn1fan Wrote:IMO Shelby Valley Should Be in The Final Game With Ease...
It's possible, but with ease??? Idk about that one. Granted they are not on the same side of the bracket as some of the other tougher teams in the state, to get to the finals of the sweet 16, they are probably going to have to play Mason County or Butler, which will not be easy. Justice is going to have to elevate his game.
