FF40212 Wrote:Again, you aren't even close little fella. I'll try to correct your mistakes in order so you can keep up (I will even type slowly in case that is the way you read). First, I don't coach pee wee though I do admire guys that will take the time to do that. Someone has to coach 7, 8, 9 year old kids so they can grow up and be as great of an "arena" football champion (:theman as you are.
Second, I am guessing you are trying to taunt me by calling me "uninspired", but I can dig it. That's fine. I will call you "exaggerator" from now on. Sound fair? Luckily I can even quote your own words to go along with the name? Thanks, Exaggerator.
Third Exaggerator, I did grow up in a football town where there is a lot of pride and tradition. I had a lot of good coaches, and even a few bad ones. I learned from all of them (sometimes what NOT to do). I feel like their influence, along with those of my family, co-workers, life experiences, etc. have helped me be the coach I am today. I'm not the greatest, but I've won way more than I've lost. To me the most important thing I do as a coach is build relationships with the young men I am entrusted with. The wins are just a bonus. Regardless, I only brought up my own playing experience because you asked about it. You were the first one to start "bragging" (if you can call it that?) about how much you study the game. You and your 4.4 40 yard linemen studying, you!!!!!!!
Fourth, I don't feel any need to go back and re-live anything. I know that I played my best when I went out there. No regrets. No need to "undo" or "redo" anything. I'm fine with that. Again, I do a job where we don't get second chances. I don't get any opportunity to make mistakes twice. Not trying to be dramatic, but dropping a football or missing a tackle rarely costs someone their life, Exaggerator.
Lastly, never said anything about your corporate sponsor from Pikeville, the City of Pikeville, the County of Pike, the mailmen in Pikeville, the wonderful trees in Pikeville, etc. I said that YOU, bragging about YOUR vast knowledge, experience, and insight into the game of football should be right in the middle of the action! NFL teams are in cities like Indy, Cincy, Nashville, etc. here closeby. Shouldn't a man of your caliber be closer to the action so you can share your gameplans with those guys? You sound like a real pro, Exaggerator!
The fact that you went straight to the "you will get banned" card tells me YOU are the juvenile.
Now, can we get back to talking about Clemson v/s UK on December 27th in the Music City Bowl? Or would you like to keep trading insults there Exaggerator?
Yeah, we can get back to the football game because I like when someone can get on here and give me a arguement..But when you start talking about the way you grew up and start talking about what you could undo and redo. Dude that just boring..:eyeroll: And then you had to go and call me little fella and juvenile, and oh yeah the Exaggerator, couldn't you come up with anything better:lmao:, because I think Uninspired is just perfect for you, you had to give me a name I guess(I'm not sure what that makes you)..The thing that makes me upset is that people like yourself get on here and all you can do is post things that you look up on the internet...your so called facts...Just as you did when I said I was hit by a 300pd 4.4 lineman.. You went straight and looked up the fastest linemen time ever. No one on here talks about UK and Clemson in 1994, no one cares.. No one cares what happened 20-30 years ago. If we did, then we would look it up on the internet just like you. We talk about today and whats coming up. Stop boring us with your old useless facts, you probably know how many time the Clemson players use the bathroom everyday.(If not, I bet your itchen to look it up.) We don't want to here your uninspired crap.. This is not insulting you at all, this is the FACTS....

It's boring because it's true. You can try to paint whatever picture you would like of me. The picture you have painted of yourself is a blowhard. You are actually the one running your mouth, trying to impress whomever with your tales of glory and many hours spent in dark rooms studying football.
A little reality for you here, Allstar (you like that one better? I know it doesn't reference your actual character, but I'm feeling the holiday season is close enough for me to be nice to you) - YOU are on the same message board as us. If you are the one who is so much better and brighter, why are you on here?
You made your prediction. I guess I will give mine -
Clemson 28
UK 14
I feel like that may be a little low for Clemson. In fact, that may be what CJ puts on the Cats??????

UK can win this game, but they can also lose by 20+. It all depends which team shows up. Clemson is better than the last time the two teams met, and UK is not as good IMO. I would like to see UK win, but think Clemson wins by 10+.

I never said I was better than anyone. I just have been telling you and only you that your facts and stats are boring. I know a lot of people on this site and they can tell you that I have great character. You can even ask the owner and creater of this site torQQue. The majority of the people on here are from Kentucky, most are either UK or UofL fans and we all have class. So don't bring all your Clemson, ACC crap on here and not expect to get an arguement..The question is, why are you on here..Find a site that talks about Clemson and share your stats with those guys. "CJ" is that what you call him..So what does he call you since you seem to know him personally..

Just. So everything is clear and before I start to give opinions, I just want to say that I have 14 years of exp. at the professional level. I have called every kind of offensive and defensive play you can imagine. I live in prestonsburg now but I used to live in pikeville.
As a uk fan I must say that not only do we honestly care about what happened in 94 we also care about all history dating back to the days of good ole bear Bryant. That's why we all go to the tenn games and stuff. That way when we win we cam jump for joy and say we haven't done that in 45 years. It's exciting when it happens but not something to be overly proud of.
In uk's defense it is my opinion that the sec is the toughest conference from top to bottom. But I say that knowing that there are teams from other conferences that have better teams than some of the sec teams. Than god for recruiting right???
Now taking all my professional exp into consideration I'm going to talk about uk and Clemson. It is my opinion that ky and Clemson are more evenly matched than all us crazy fans realize. I just think ky's defense might be a notch better. Both offenses rely heavy on a select few from what I've seen. Cobb for ky and spiller for Clemson. Two really good players.
Even though I think uk's d is better, I'm not. Sure it's better than clemsons offense. If spiller gets turned loose then it's going to be bad for uk. But if spiller can be stopped then it could go the other way. Same thing with ky. Just flip it
I hate having a discussion while typing on my phone cause I can't reall type as fast as I think. So I'm going to leave it at that and come back shortly.

Kentucky 27
Clemson 24
in overtime.
Clemson will have 200+ rushing yards.
Cobb will have 200+ all-purpose yards, Morgan Newton will be efficient and keep us in the game with no interceptions.

Swinney talks about bowl game, Spiller
http://www.thetigernet.com/view/story.do?id=8328
"Kentucky is a typical SEC football team,â he said. âThey're going to play hard for four quarters. They've really had a good season. They've had some big wins, in particular on the road. We'll have to play at a high level, much better than we have as a team for us to win this game. I'm impressed with them. They're good inside defensively. No. 91 [senior defensive lineman Corey Peters] is probably a first-day draft pick type of guy. No. 4 [senior linebacker Micah Johnson] is another guy who jumps out at you. Offensively, you better know where No. 18 [all-purpose player Randall Cobb] is. They like to play in their wildcat formation a good bit to get him touches. We'll have to be well-prepared defensively. No. 20 [junior running back Derrick Locke] is also a good player and is really fast.â
The Tigers played the Wildcats in the 2006 Music City Bowl, and lost despite being favored, and Swinney was reminded of that experience.
"Our seniors, they're the main guys who were in that game,â he said. âCertainly, they're aware that we got embarrassed the last time we went there. We weren't prepared to play and it was pretty obvious. Kentucky will bring a lot of fans there. It'll be almost like a home game. We'll have to be focused. It'll be like a road game. Hopefully we'll have a lot of fans show up. Certainly there will be a tremendous amount of blue. We don't spend a lot of time talking about three years ago.â

Really think that it is almost even. Kentucky has the expected SEC defense and can be strong against Clemson's fantastic running game. I dont expect Spiller to have a normal game against UK's defense. Same situation as Clemson vs South Carolina. I just think that in most cases, the SEC team will have too many defensive athletes for a team from the ACC to continue to rip up opponents. I am going to call a close game with Morgan Newton having a solid game and Randel Cobb and Locke leading us to the win. 28-24
Lets go Cats!! Bring home a fourth bowl!

Of Course I think his playing time will depend on if coach Brooks remains.

This game will be very interesting this will be your old school ground and pound football game with two fairly bad defenses, best thing that could happen for us is to force Clemson into a passing game which could really benefit us. Just some points here, Clemson is in the bottom of the NCAA in Redzone D, 4th down D, passing D, Punting Avg and Passing Offense. I think since Newton has had a month to focus on one team and to adapt more to the offense he will grow into a great player during this game, Cobb will have a HUGE game and Locke should have a pretty good game as well. All Kentucky has to do is slow down Spiller not shut him down just slow him down force them into passing situations and force them to punt which should result into winning the field position battle the entire game. I think Lindley has a HUGE game with 2 INTs.
UK 31 Clemson 27

As easy as it would be for me to be a grade a you know what, I won't.
A couple of you fellows talked some serious smack in this thread. You shot your mouths off. From what I've seen so far, you all have blame for Brooks and Phillips, but have yet to give credit to the team that won.
I knew there would be excuses. But to be honest, I don't think it would be much fun rubbing it in on you guys. Besides, I predicted the winner. And I was correct.
I will admit though, it sure was fun yelling -

Good luck in basketball. You have a big game on January 2nd!

I know its hard to project a "tone" on here, but I can assure you I'm not being sarcastic.
I haven't thrown any jabs.
I haven't insulted UK or their fans.
You need to look back through this thread and see some of the nonsense that some of the guys on this board spewed.
You do that, and if you think their comments are worthy of some sort of pride you let me know.
Again, all the times I've lost football games I've shaken hands and given credit where it was due. If I got whooped, I said I got whooped.
That's called "being a man about it".
