I told many that Hc will a team to beat soon . Not to take anything away from HC but just don't think their ready to stay with bell now. Great to see HC play Bell now because this will come to be a game that will be taked about each and every year. HC has great fans and they support their teams to the end. I don't know who has ever been to one of our middle school games, but if you have ever been you would find the stuff that makes teams great. The place is packed to the point to put other schools high school games to shame. From this point on BGR better get ready,(ULTRA-POST) a thread that could break a record for posts.

[quote=BB CLAW]It is well known that Bell County has an awesome team, but any awesome team, on any given night can be beaten. We must recognize that there are a couple Bell knuckle heads on here that have given Bell Co. a bad black eye with their foolishness, but not all Bell Co. supporters are that way, there is only a few of them. These knuckle heads have gathered the attention of many across the state with their foolishness and on almost every thread. The Black Bears will travel to Log Mountain with a win in mind. It will be at Bell County and against the odds. But, all Bell county and Harlan County fans know that this will start a huge rivalry that will prove to be the state's biggest rivalry in the years to come. The Harlan County Black Bears are on the rise. The Bears have an opportunity and they will make the valiant effort. I like my Bears chances. GO BLACK BEARS!!!![/QUOTE

Now lets not get out of hand that you Bell County fans are calling me a bandwagon jumper. That has nothing to absolute do with the Harlan County @ Bell County game, I only said those things on her because I simply picked Harlan County and you don't have to make it a big deal by saying I'm a bandwagon jumper. Now saying all that to someone on here just because that someone did not pick Bell County to win is just totally in this high school mountain sports world is totally unprofessional. Now be good sport Bell County fans, I don't want to party boop with memories when Rockcastle had you all under the thumb during 2005 and 2006, I don't brag much about it besides saying that we as a team did our part, we did our talking on the field not on here, since we (Rockcastle) done that talking with the action on the field, now we can talk about laying the whippings on you by shutting you all out TWICE in the playoffs. So please lets just get back on the topic which I was the whole time and once again I pick Harlan County to win, and as the old saying goes "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words never me", but evidentally when someone picks the opposite of Bell, it seems to hurt them. Please show a little more class on here.
You really can't brag much. Rockcastle sure can't. Look at two years all you want but I'll take the total history between the two. I think we know where we stack up then.
For the bandwagon, I don't care who you're for. I just notice how you pick Bell to lose almost every friday. Upon evaluation of your predictions not much of what you say is taken seriously. A spades a spade.

That would be awesome that this certain thread which is 6 pages long just started a rival. That would be a honor that I would be apart of building up the thread along with the start the rival. "The Blackbear/Bobcat Bowl" baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like to me as the season goes on bell is making a statement to these low ranked teams compared to them by putting the score up the 60s and almost 50s, Put the JV or freshmen in, and i know these other teams varsity culd beat bells freshmen and score a little, those are the scores from Khsaa, so dont say there not right.
Like I said, you have no clue.
Do you think those scores are running it up? There's not a game on there we couldn't have one even by more points. You don't have a clue as to who plays how many minutes. Know what you're talking about.

When dudley's team can beat boyle/St.X/Trinity then will talk, you see, when a team like madison southern plays bell, thats like bell playin Trinity, they have no chance, if Trinity beat you all they wouldnt get on here and brag because they beat a team they beat by +50, if any of those teams had talent i woulnd understand but they dont, you guys have a cupcake schedule, an easy one, get some big boys on there, and then see who the real kentucky Kings of football are. And just becuase all the other team's players dont come out of the womb and the doctor puts shoulder pads and helments on them and then sends them To Dudley's Football DayCare Camp doesnt mean there not a good team. I say there is over 50 teams in Kentucky that would wipe bell off the map. Thank You!
Just to shut your dumb argument up, we did beat Boyle.
Please go find your 50 teams and leave us alone. It's hard to read so many dumb post from you. Go fly away.

Chunk Wrote:Sometimes you run into a team that just isn't any good, and you put your JV in and still score. However, you can do things such as quit blitzing, I have saw Bell County play before and they'll be bringing the house every play during the 4th quarter while being up 60 points. They is not need for that stuff, why blitz on a team your beating them by 60 points, play a zone if they score big deal your still winning big time. This goes back to my point about Coach Hilton being a sore loser, he also likes to run up the scores on teams that are inferior to his team. Don't get me wrong, I think he is an awesome football Coach, I respect him a lot. However, I don't agree with his tactics of running the score up on people and then acting like a sore loser, when he losses a game by blaming the loss on mistakes instead of just being outplayed. However, he is one of the best FOOTBALL Coaches you'll find, he knows football and how to teach it. My biggest problem are the fans attacking other teams and stuff. I mean like I said you all win one title in the last 15 years and you football guru's. I'm not taking anything away from the team, their awesome and I'm glad a mountain team is so good, I respect the football team. My problem is the fans. Any comments that I have made are directed at the fans, not the team or players.Do you have a problem attacking us? You're the one that one shut up. You're very amusing though.
Please give one of your examples of when we kept blitzing a team while beating them by 60 in the 4th qtr. What game? What year?

Back in the mid-1980's when Coach Larkey was at Rock starting basically, Bell would be up by 50 plus at one point then onside kick the ball to recover it while they were up that much against Rockcastle. Thats a pretty good example of wanting to humuliate and run the score up on a opponent. If anyone remembers this game, I forgot the exact year it was, but we (Rock) got them back around the year 2001 in the region final beating them 34-2, we onside kicked I think to just return to sender, thats what made the Rock/Bell rival so hyped up. I hope Bell and Harlan start this rival and if so, this very thread became the origins of it.

he probably did not do this on purpose because its not everyday you have an all-state kicker or even a good kicker on the team i remember going back to when i was little we didn't have a kicker that good so we would on side kick or squib kick every time and always go for two we really didnt have a good kicker till Monty Merrick showed and have you seen John Dudley Hilton (coach's boy) kick the ball its not pretty but he gets them and he really has no distance on him so anything that would be 4th down and us to attempt a field goal from about 20-25 yards we are going for it even if it is 4th and 20 or something of the nature, because when it comes down to it i would rather go for it and at least gain a few yards so when the ball was turned over on downs the other team would be further away instead of trying to kick a field goal and knowing your gonna miss it and give them better field position and you never know when you go for it sometimes you may actually pick up the first
10-28-2009, 10:27 AM
IMO Harlan County will not be a cake walk Bell will eventually pull out and run away but they will hang with us through probably a good 2 1/2 quarters but when it comes down to it they are over matched
10-28-2009, 10:47 AM
Bell County is good. Harlan County is good. One paper Bell is probably better. One thing people have to remember is that Tom and Dudley know each other VERY well. If anybody can lead their team to an upset of Bell, it would be Tom Larkey.
With everything said I take Bell by 10+ but by no more than 18 points. This game will not be a 25-35 point blowout.
Tom Larkey will run some clock off before he allows it to humiliate his team. I know some of the Bell county fans will hate that
In all seriousness, I am predicting a game like 34-20

However I wouldn't add Soddy to that list who is 4-5, but it is still a challenging schedule IMO.
