Harlan County @ Bell County 10/30

Chunk Wrote::thatsfunn Your joking right? I mean I'm not a Bell fan, but there 8-1. There only loss came against, the best 2A team in Tennessee, Alcoa. That Alcoa team is 9-0, and they have blown everyone out this year. Since the 2004 season till now Alcoa have only lost 6 games, there record is 78-6, that's including the 9-0 record of this year. They've won the state championship 5 years in a row, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and on their way to 6 in a row by winning this year. Bell County is on a row, they have held their last 7 opponents to 7 or less points, while scoring 327 points in their last 7 games, and you say there not playing their best football. As far as the game goes, Bell will not lay down, they'll show up to play. I think it'll be a good game for the first quarter, they'll Bell will take over.

Bell Co. - 42
Harlan Co. - 22

If you have watched Bell play you would understand that they are not playing that good right now.

This may be the dumbest prediction I have seen on this site. We haven't given up a safety all year. Why would you think we would start doing that nonsense the last game of the year?
#34
bell rolls sorry blacck bears
#35
Bell county bobcats all the way...go cats beat the bears if the cats can beat marion co i know they can beat the bears.
#36

Rocket1 you continue to disappoint us!!! PM me your address and I will be right down.:redboxer: J/K

I understand sometimes you have to vote with your heart. I picked UK over Florida with my heart but you know how that turned out. :flush:

IF Bell plays Boyle it will be a at Boyle. Knox will not beat Bell not matter if 1/2the team has the swine flu. Way too much seperation in talent this year.

The Black Bears will show up and play tough but Bell is a different type of animal than what Harlan has seen. Whitley or SW is the best team Harlan has played and we know what Bell did to Whitley and what the SW and Rock score was last night.

I expect Bell to have some very spirited practices this week after the last two weeks of snooze games.

You are right DanielBellCo. Alcoa is 3A this year (just moved up). We are 1A in terms of enrollment though. With 85 players on the team, this is over half the male population in our school.

Bell by 3 TD's

I would Like to see Harlan Co win this one. But! I think Bell will win this one 42-14
#45
Harlan's style of ball keeps them in the game with a lot of teams....
but if they get behind early it's gonna be a long night for the black bears

Bell-42
Harlan-14

It will be a good game but I don't think that Harlan County can stay with Bell County

Bell County wins this game in a good fashion
#47
The Harlan County Black Bears are IN IT TO WIN IT. The Black Bears will come with ALL intentions of leaving Log Mountain with the Win. They have been underdogs for much of their season and proved alot of people wrong. Harlan County Black Bears in a close one. GO BLACK BEARS!!!!
#48
I think that Bell will be too much for Harlan County. All they do is run and Bell's defense loves that.

BC 42
HC 14
#49
Bell County with homefield advantage say's it all, that alone will determine this game.
#50
Bell 28
Harlan Co 6

Chunk Wrote:Obliviously, you've not been following 5A region 1 district 8 football. If you had been following then you'd know this is a HUGH game for Harlan County, see district 8 is in a 3 way tie, so they'll be using the tie breaking point system. Harlan County MUST win this game in order to win their district, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it's possible for Harlan County to win that district if they lose this game. I'm not real sure on that, but I do know if HCC wins this, they'll win their district. So, with that being said you will see the starters for HCC playing in this game.

Well Chunky, I said that before I knew how the tie-breaker worked. I DO follow the district, so calm down. I also said later in the thread that if thats how the tie-breaker works, then its definitely a huge game for Harlan County. I never said HC wouldn't play their starters, just that the teams would probably remove the starters once the game is no longer in question. Which I still think will happen, obviously.

That said, I think Harlan County hangs around for a while from the motivation for a top seed in the district, but Bell County will take over and win the game pretty handily. Just too tough of a situation for the Black Bears to have to win in order to be the top seed in the district. They've played great this year and will still be ready for the playoffs.

Bell County: 35
Harlan County: 13

Bell County wins this one with defense. I'll take the Bobcats by 2 touchdowns.

Best of luck to both!

I believe the story coming into this game is defense, Harlan County picked up 2 victories which were impressive IMO, I mean the 15-14 win over Perry Central which is good this year and had a run to the Class 5A Semi-Finals last year and the double-overtime victory over North Laurel, which both teams did not let the spectators down as that would be a really good game. Bell County has not had impressive games yet when you look at the scores between Bell and Harlan County. Bell's only loss was a out-of-state team that won the state over there a number of years. Once again I'm not taking anything from Bell County. This will be a good game I believe but I'm still for Harlan County.

Yeah and you should have still been holding it in. We'll remind you after the game about that comment.

Dude, you crack me up with your creative spelling and refusing to use any kind of punctuation. For the record; "ain't" ain't a word, and if it was it would be spelled "ain't" not "ant".

Bell hasn't had impressive games? They can't help it if the teams can't play with them.
Bell destroys Whitley. What did Harlan Co. do against Whitley?
There's no ground to stand on with this argument for you.
It is what it is. Heck, you've picked Bell to get beat several times this year so why would you not now?
