wood_chuck Wrote:al is a good coach, but he will go where he think a team has the most talent. thats one of the reasons (not the main one) he went to hazard. pcc was supposed to be down the year hatcher came in, and he took them to the region championship. look at there coaching record and you will see who has more wins. al isnt in the same league as hatcher.:please:
im not worried about him being proclaimed the best coach in the 14th when he has people saying he is one of the best in the state.
Is there something wrong with you? All coaches want to coach talent. I have saw some bone head comments on here but these take the cake! For one PCC never has down years, 2-the only reason he has more wins is because he has coached 30 years and Al has coached 20, in ten more years Al will have 50-100 more wins than Hatcher. And you are right Al is not in the same league as Hatcher he is in a league of his own.

Give Hatcher and Holland equal talent and a month to prepare. Play a best of five series. Hatcher wins. Ask around the state... you'll get the same answer.

If Al Holland was still at Perry Central and Hatcher was at another school, these same posters would be arguing that Coach Holland is the superior coach.

Hazard won the region last year without Michael Campbell. He never even finished the season. Hazard chances of winning the region have decreased due to the graduation of Jones, Warren, and Kidd.

and the loss of martin who came to pcc. and you people are IDIOTS if you think al is a better coach than hatcher. al is no where near the type of coach hatcher is.

Did Hazard ever beat Knott Central without Micheal Campbell? NO! PCC took out Knott County last year in the region. Micheal Campbell simply had Tate Cox's number. Tate fears nobody else on Hazards team. Better hope the Dawgs dont draw KCC in the region this year because KCC will hand it to them. For some odd reason, PCC and KCC will meet in the region semis and PCC will beat them.

And if Al Holland had stayed at Perry Central and Hazard had hired Coach Hatcher you would be saying Al is the better coach.

Do your homework. February 19, 2009. Hazard 59 KCC 57. Michael Campbell hadn't been on the team for a month. What is your weird fetish with Tate Cox and Michael Campbell. I don't think anyone expects Hazard to beat Knott Central this year.

My fetish. Well I thought it was simply funny as **** how Micheal broke Tates little weak *** in half twice and never got kicked out of the game for it. It was hillarious. I thought Knott beat Hazard last year at Knott. Sorry for the mistake. Shame on me.

Shame on you is the right answer. If you consider one of the greatest moments in a ballgame is when someone tried to hurt someone else then you are warped. If he had been at any other school in the region he probably would have gotten kicked out.

Saw Perry Central this summer amnd with Amis, Mullins, Noble and Martin they are pick to win the 14th. Will get to see them again Nov. 28 at the Fast Lane Classic at Sheldon Clark against a top notch opponent.

I am warped and I thrive on Violence. Thats why I am the Warmachine. You are right about the part where you said if Campbell would of been at any other school, he would of been ejected. Sometimes in life, the best team dont win. The dirtiest team sometimes prevails. The team that is willing to do anything to get the W. Thats why Hazard has those shirts that say JUST WIN on them and those shirts hanging down at sportsworld that say we are not cocky, we are just better than you.

Matt Day from Buckhorn will be the top player in the 14th region this year and PCC will have its hands full when they play Buckhorn. PCC is the favorite , but Buckhorn will be a Cinderella team this year. It happens about every 20 years at Buckhorn and the last time they won the 14th was in 1987 and in 1988.

I think Buckhorn will be a team to watch out for this season as well. Very talented Soph. group who played a ton last season. They must replace Andy Blank though which will be very tough. It should be a great match up between them and PCC.

I agree. Buckhorn could be dangerous this year.

buckhorn will get beat 20 by pcc. they just arent as talented. who is going to be there new pg?
09-26-2009, 03:07 PM
I would say Scott Blank (Andy's brother) would take over as point this season. He was the PG for this same group 2 years ago when they were 8th graders. This Buckhorn team does have the talent, it is the experience that may cost them. But, they do have enough talent.

That's exactly right. All of Buckhorn's top players are good ball handlers and there are actually several that could handle the point if need be...Scotty Blank, The Couch boy, or Tate and Tray Gay. Including Matt Day, this is a team with a lot of good ball handlers and excellent athletes. Scotty was the point when they won the 8th grade Perry Co. championship. Now that I think of it this team has the best ball handling starting five of any team in the 14th region hands down.
PCC will have their hands full. I think that Buckhorn beats them every time they play this season. This is the Buckhorn team that goes to state at least one out of the next two years.

I agree this will be the class that gives Buckhorn their best chance to make a run at the region. Not sure if they beat PCC this season. I do think they'll give them problems. This may be PCC's year, but the next season or two could be Buckhorn's chance. The 54th will just as tough if not tougher than usual. Not just PCC/Hazard this season.

none of them could handle a good press. not enough experience and not that great of ball handlers. 8th grade county championship is different than competing with the whole 14th region. I dont think this team is close to the ball handlers kcc, pcc, and hazard have.
and them beating pcc? not happening this year. pcc is a top 2 or 3 team in the region, after kcc, pcc and hazard, the competition goes down. i think buckhorn is the worst team in the 54th district.

Looks like that opponent is George Rogers Clark from the 10th region. Very talented team, huge inside and top players known state wide of Zollo and Stenzel.

Martin will hurt more than he will help. He will demand touches that Noble and Mullins should be getting. With Hatchers slow style of play there's not many touches to go around.

Summer ball is just practice and so is this Fast Lane Classic. You learn next to nothing about how a team will play in the regular season. If a coach is playing to win these games(summer and pre-season) and 10 players are sitting on the bench not getting experience from these games its a waste of time!!!

Anyone have any idea when and where PCC's first scrimmage will be and who it is against if possible TY!

i think PCC will have an OUTSTANDING year this season. Amis, Mullins, and Noble are returning. Add Martin to the picture. The good Juniors, and very good sophmores(Bryan Rankin, Jay White) and Dalton Cornett as a freshman. My pick to win region. Can't wait
