Congrats AC. With the talent level PHS has they should be playing better football. From what i have seen their offensive play calling has been TERRIBLE.

Congrates Allen Central on a big win, Those Crowder boys are a load. The first half these team looked very evenly matched. Most players for AC and Paintville go both ways and it really wore paintsville down. In the second half it was all Allen Central. When big number 30 for AC got outside and Doderer missed the tackle it picked up big yardage. Not making excuses for Paintsville but the muddy field help contain Doderer tonight IMO, sloppy fields kill speed and thats what paintville rely off of. It dont effect the power game as much cause the Crowders are looking to run over people rather than relying on speed and cuts to get around people.
On a side note I still think Doderer was the best player on the field tonight I know Ill probably here it over that but thats still my opinion. I cant believe how hard this kid runs, it seems to only take about 3 steps to get to full speed and he has so much momentum hitting the holes he is a player, this kid also makes alot of tackles.
Allen Central -Go beat Pikeville, Ill def be pulling for you.

I made that same comment about Doderer last night, but I don't think he was the best player on the field. I think the best team with the best players won the game.
On a side note, Paintsville (for some reason), overlooked a better opponent. From the newspaper articles to attitudes. This should be lesson for the future to not say things to add more motivation to a hungry group of young people. I also know I am proud of Coach Hall for earning his first win against win against Paintsville.
Here is a question...Would you rather be Coach Hall earning your schools first win against Paintsville or Coach Kinner suffering the first loss to AC in school history (football of course)?
I hope they stay focussed and work hard to keep improving and wish them the best of luck next against another P-ville.
Congrats to the whole AC team and family.

Would that be when he was laying face down on the 50 yard line and #30 was in the endzone? Or when he tried to run it up the middle and #67 took him for a ride, or maybe it was when #70 hit him for a loss? I have to say my favorite though was the triple he had when #34 hit him.
I don't know what it is going to take for people to start showing AC the respect they deserve. Doderer is a good player and we heard all week how speed kills. But when it came down to crunch time, your speed was no match for the mack trucks that he tried to run through.

Like I said it my opinion. Im not knocking Allen Central they have a good football team two big powerful backs they really completment each other well. I still think Doderer was the best player on the field lastnight and the muddy field help contain him. Im not a Paintville fan not a Allen Central fan however I was glad to see Allen Central win cause they are a Floyd County team and Floyd county teams usually dont beat Paintville or Pikeville very often unless your Prestonsburg I also hope they beat Pikeville. Should be a good game.
Mad Cap- I think AC had the best team lastnight the big back really wore paintsville down but I think Paintville had the best player on the field and like I said its just my opinionn from a unbiased fan.

IMO all they have to do is keep winning, and the respect will be there in the end, if they can get past Pikeville then the district is theirs to lose.
Good Luck AC, I hope you bring the district title home.

Yeah right pulling starters works both ways, what if your hero Doderer gets hurt win the game was already out of reach

For those of you who don't know, I am a Paintsville fan/football alum. I didn't even make a prediction for this game for the simple fact that I knew nothing about Allen Central. I have only got to watch the Tigers play one game this year and that was the Prestonsburg game, and we all know how that turned out. I watched Paintsville play a few games last year and I can say this, Nehemiah Doderer is a very good football player with alot of speed and athleticism. I can say this from experience, good field conditions and bad field conditions play a MAJOR role in outcomes. I'm not saying Paintsville would have won the game, I wasn't even there so idk. When you have players like Doderer and Brown who rely on speed and agility, a wet/muddy field is gonna is gonna slow them down. Throw that factor in with the apparent big, physical defense of AC, it's gonna be very hard to get anything going on offense.

Then he gets hurt trying to comback, not by padding your stats from a game this is already out of reach and you have your toughest district opponet next week.

34-14 isn't that big of a lead, especially with the field conditions of lastnight. I cant think back to my Freshman year (1999) when we (Paintsville) were playing Fleming Neon. We were up 3 TD's in the 4th quarter and coach LeMaster pulled the starters, Neon didn't. First play from scrimmage with the JV in, our RB fumbled deep in our own territory. Neon recovered and scored very quickly. Next possession, with our JV in, we fumbled on like the 3rd play. Neon recovered and scored very quickly. In a matter of 2-3 minutes, our 3 TD lead turned into a 1 TD lead. Coach put the starters back in, but by that time Neon had ALL the momentum. We played our butts off the last 4-5 minutes to escape with the W. I don't blame either team for not pulling their starters lastnight.

So you want Hall to pull his starters so Paintsville can try to come back both teams should pull starters at 34 to 6 in the 4th

Great game by the Rebels last night. I know AC had to here from media and several people all week how fast and how well conditioned Paintsville was, until AC beat some one on the radar the were just Allen Central, AC was good but not at the level of a Paintsville or Pikeville, AC had played cupcakes and Paintsville played tough teams, AC needed to play a tougher schedule to get read for a Paintsville and how a power game was good but speed kills, all you have to do is stop the Crowder and AC had no answer for Doderer. All I can say is all of those people are pretty quite on here now but I guess when you have a mouth full of crow it is hard to talk.
The Crowders plaed a great game and I saw both run to very long TD's and the Tigers could not catch them with Doderer on the field. They also punished the defense players making tackles. The oline for AC controlled the game and gave the backs some good blocks and really wore down the Tiger defense. But I think the game was won with AC's defense. Coach Hall came in with a great game plan to stop Paintsville's offense. The defensive unit really stepped up and took on the challenge. Doderer was hit hard and often and by the 3rd quarter he was getting up slower and slower. Doderer played very hard and is a great back but unlike a few on here I think it was the AC D the slowed Doderer and did not allow him to get loose outside. Weather is part of the game and both teams had to play in it. I did not see either team slipping and falling a lot. The conditions did help both teams have a couple of turnovers. I think AC had their starters in because it was 28-6 until AC scored running up the gut trying to use clock and Paintsville was trying to score and has the potential to score quick and often and Coach Hall wanted to keep Paintsville from scoring quick. And after the final score I think the AC d staed in to slow the Tiger offense down and not give up a quick score. Doderer was in the game on the final drive for Paintsville when they were down 34-6 with under 6 minutes to go in the game, where they still trying to come back? If so why was it bad for AC to have their D in to slow them down. If Paintsville thought they could come back shouldn't AC also think they should stop any comeback.
Congrats to the Rebels, keep it rolling and work even harder this week to get ready for Pikeville. Hard fought game by the Tigers and I wish the Paintsville kids nothing but the best of luck the rest of the season.

All Im saying is if either or both of the Crowders get hurt in a 34-6 game in the 4th where would AC be then? I didnt day anything about padding stats until the other guy did. AC played a great game and wore paintsville down.
And on the plays where the Cowders didnt get caught is because Doderer had missed the tackle and had no chance to catch them then I watched it from AC sideline same as most of the AC fans.

Just trying to get a fellow cowboy going. Not saying they were faster just saying speed is a great asset but speed alone doesn't make tackles. Speed got Doderer to the spot but he could not bring them down and the power and speed of the Crowders got them to the endzone.

Please elaborate on the talent level PHS has on this team. They have 2 skill players, that's it. Doderer is one of the best backs around but that is it. Brown is a threat any time he gets in the open field, pretty good speed. Other than these two players they don't have another skill player.
I don't know what PHS team you've been watching but it certainly isn't this years edition.

exactly they dont have to be faster just run over him, people get on here and talk smack but i have never seen anyone catch the twins from behind, they are not as fast as Doderer but they they must be fast enough

Not faster...just harder hitting! What good is speed on defense if you can't tackle them? I guess everyone should watch out for Paintsville in track and field. Doderer can run all he wants on the defensive side of the ball, but you have to bring them to the ground before it counts for anything!

I was very impressed with how AC's line played last night. They controlled the line of scrimmage just long enough to get the twins through all night long. One of the main things that has killed Paintsville all year long, as it did last night, is open field tackling. I saw many mental mistakes by the Tigers on offense, hopefully things will get cleared soon. The Crowders were tough. Very very hard to bring down. Doderer played well, I'd still say he had 150+ yards regardless of AC keeping him contained fairly well throughout the night. Congrats to AC, and best of luck the rest of the season. PHS needs to forget about this loss, they are in a key part of their season.

The field conditions last night were not as bad as people are leading you to believe. There were a few puddles, but I've seen this field MUCH worse and other fields like it.
I had Doderer at nearly 170 yards rushing. Mind you that he was held to 90 yards before the final 5 minutes of the game when AC gave Paintsville their last score of the night.
In all honesty, the score should've been 34-6.
