You go with what you can use. Maybe they didn't feel they could run against LC and that is why they threw it more.

I was talking to a few SC fans this past week and told them that Lawrence County is a lot better than they where last year. And looks like my word stood, although I predicted SC to win.

All I know is the Coach had a great game play and when things wasnt going just so made adjustments at halftime.. and wow our D is for real and need to work on a few things and will get better... And with all the weapons we already have on O next week we add another in Mr. West!!!!

that might be true! but all i am saying is why would you go away from something that worked out good for you? yes it was boring but the way the played against the bobcats was perfect for them. they held the ball most of the game by running and if they did that tonight lc wouldnt have had as many offence touches. and sc deffence wouldnt have been drained by the 3rd period.

Never thought Lawrence would beat Sheldon Clark after SC beat Breathitt last friday. Great win for Lawrence. Good job Dawgs.

ive been saying it for a couple weeks now, its official now that the DAWGS are back! I dont see lawrence losing game the rest of the season! and my hat goes off to Coach Sammons he's doing an amazing job! But as far as the game went it definatly wasnt boring it was a barnburner

Well you need to learn to spell it is offense and defense... and maybe just maybe LC D had something to do with them going away from the run.

Guys, I told everyone after LC scrimmaged Prestonsburg in Huntington that they would absolutely shock people this year. Great win for LC. Congrats.

they should be favored the rest of the season in all of there games but its really hard to go the whole season and not lose a game! goodluck though i would like to see them do it! any team that plays as hard as lc does deserves the best!!

sorry i was just giving my opinion! i just think sc needs to stick to the basic running game! there a better team when they do!!

Now does anyone else wanna tell me LC isn't for real, I have stood behind them from day one.People can say whatever they want to, but the fact is #1 LArry West did not play, and I believe a lot of these players were tired of hearing they only way they would win is with him, well we found out tonight they can win without him, but he is going to put this team over the top. A great group effort, some many players that need recognition I'm just going to say the whole team, but the way Shane Pack put the team on his back in the 2nd half and drove them right down the field for two touchdowns was awesome. LC is back

Ok now for my post on the game.
This was a good game to be an attendance to tonight even if my team was on the losing end of it, But my hat goes off to this LC team tonight you guys played a great game and the score shows it. Both teams will be teams to watch out for come playoff time. And for the guy that was saying it was a boring game are you crazy this was one **** of a game man this is what about high school football is all about.

This was a HUMdinger of a ballgame.

Lawrence Co.'s Wing-T worked extremely well. But the thing that won the game for the Bulldogs was the run defense. Sheldon Clark couldn't put anything together in their ground game.

It's very nice to see the Bulldogs back in the saddle this year !!

This was a terrific, well-played high school football game on every planet other than the one some "#23" guy is stranded on.
Austin Stepp, the SC quarterback, played like a warrior despite taking some heavy shots in the 2nd half.
The reason SC went away from the run was because Lawrence made a big adjustment to the wishbone after the 3rd SC possession and they no longer were going to gash them on the run - kids got lined up right and made plays.
My hat is off to both teams. SC will get many more wins this season and be a force in Class AAA.
Lawrence, well, I would not go saying the word "back" yet. There is another 8 regular season games, plus a substantial playoff picture to consider first -- but things are definitely on the uptick on the west side of the Big Sandy.
How about those DAWGS!!!

In Sheldon Clark's defense, preparing for the Wing-t after having to play against Breathitt Co.'s spread had to be a defensive nightmare. The two styles couldn't be more different.

I think that this the best thing that could happen to Sc get a good win to start the year and then this lose to bring them back down and show them that they can be beat.
