Lawrence County @ Paintsville (Aug. 21)

Shouldn't Lawrence play and beat someone in their own class before too much hoopla gets started? PBurg is AA and Paintsville is Single A. I believe that Lawrence is AAAA , right?

Well if that was the case we wouldn't have any preseason pols or anyone talking up their team. If LC is good it will show if their not that to will show. It will all come out in good time. It doesn't really matter what you or I think of this game or any other.

Well, when you dont win any games in a season, and you play hard against everyone but can't pull one out, you will do anything to get that first win. Huntington High may have been down the last few years, but they are usually a pretty good team, and everyone knows about Prestonsburg, they aren't soft at all and for Lawrence to play like that against them two just gives them confidence, I dont think there is anything wrong with that.

Yea thats why all the JC fans cried around when they found out Paintsville wouldnt play them anymore.... Its not the size of your class you play in.. You can only put 11 out there at time...... Oh and when you have struggled for the last couple of years you want games you can say is games you should win... But we all know that all you are trying to do is stir the pot but once again.

I can understand the sensitive when Lawrence County hasnt been playing Lawrence County football in years...I understand the classification of teams and to be honest I wish LC would play JC annually..playing against good compeition does nothing but make you better...trust me I have been around football for 15+ years...

There was nothing ever mentioned about Johnson Central until Lawrence Co. people brought them into the conversation. You can blame Batpuff and Catdawg for that if you want to point fingers about it. You are welcome to go back and reread the posts if you would like. I made what I felt was a legitimate statment, and Lawrence Co folks tuned it in to what it has become. Blame them or we can go one better than that. Possibly you can stay out of the whole conversation yourself if you dont like it.

Well, I did have something to say concerning the game until I started reading and saw how once again it turned into a JC topic.

I just don't think there is anyway Paintsville can keep up with Lawrence for a full game, they may keep it interesting for a while but I just think Lawrence has too much depth, talent and just more attitude this year, they are going to be hard to deal with. I'm not taking anything away from Paintsville, I have a lot of respect for them, but I just see Lawrence as a 3 td favorite in my opinion.

I look for it to be a good game. With Lawrence looking for its first win in a while, I see them coming in seeing an easy win over the Tigers. The Tigers should put up a good fight and I look for them to pull off the upset!

I think a lot of people are going to underestimate Lawrence County this year, but we will leave the talk for on the field. It's really hard to say whos going to win, because one thing about football is, anybody can beat anybody any given night, just depends on who wants it more. With that being said Lawrence looked like they wanted it real bad in their scrimmage Saturday, and if they play like they can can compete or beat anyone around here.

Actually you would have to have the best record between all the schools from Florida to Michigan on U.S. 23 in order to have the bragging rights.:yawn:
