Perry Central proved last night they are for real for sure. Hazard with only 3 starters showed they will be there again too. Knott running up the score on poor jenkins didn't show much, we will see how they do when Stamper is back and they play someone! Rankings after night one.
1. Hazard, they are going to be hard to beat when they get everyone back.
2. PCC, gained more than they lost in off season, will be tough also.
3. LCC, didn't lose anyone, look to win that district
4. Estill, took Hazard to OT, will be a threat all year
5. Knott and JBS can't wait till they play, will be a war. With Collins and Hall inside, they will be tough for Knott to match up with them. Guards vs Big men. Should be a good one.
7. Lee, looks like they are a little sloppy right now, but will improve.
8. Breathitt, when they get their players after Christmas look for them to be pretty good.
9. The rest is a toss up, Cordia, Buckhorn, Leslie is in a group together...
12. Bottom of region, Wolfe, Owsley, Powell, Jackson City, Jenkins, Riverside

If Hall could have gotten eligible at kcc he wouldn't be there either..
hall didn't get eligible at kcc and he is at jbs so how is that even considered in the arguement for who the better team is????

Noble for PCC hasn't had the games I thought he would these first two games. The two starting seniors Maggard and D. Amis are the 2 leading scorers with Maggard Avg. 15 and Amis avg. 17. Noble will for sure pick it up later in the season though. Maggard and Amis were neither one in the preseason top 10 but both are pretty talented players. They beat a really talented Estill County team by 20 at Estill. Both Hazard and Knott better watch out for PCC and Letcher.

Knott Co has a lot more weapons other than just Cox and Stamper. Ratliff,Amguery, Bartum, and Mullins are all good players that can step up and drop double digits any night. I think Hazard is the best team in the region followed by Knott and then PCC/LCC are eqaul. The 14th region will be fun to watch this year! Im glad its here!
I think you are right, everyone wants to give the credit to the two who do the most scoring, but it takes a team to win a game. Alot of the scoring that Cox and Stamper do wouldn't happen if not for the actions of the other players. I have said in other posts before that some of the other players don't get any credit for doing anything, but the ones who score sure do. It takes them all to play team ball and win, not just the ones who score. This KCC team is gonna do well this year no matter what anyone says and the ones who say different are just sayin so because they are scared of this team. Why shouldn't the fans be excited about this season? Its gonna be great even if we don't win district, region or go to state, it is exciting and we are hoping that with this team we can make some noise and we will. But all you nay sayers that are doggin us are just scared to death that we might actually beat some pretty good teams. This KCC team is one of the best teams that we have had in along time, they are good kids, good players who are not selfish with the ball and alot of wins will be had with this team, but it can be anybodies game on any given night.

Will find out tonight, although Letcher will not be as good tonight as later in the year because of late start with football, but Knott will also improve. Should be some good battles in this district between these two all year.

People will say I am crazy but I see Owsley moving up the ranks this year. They play very hard and have alot of talent. I think they will surprise alot of teams.

Yeah your right king360. There are no where near as good as people say they are......ARE YOU CRAZY? I mean seriously.....They are better than what everyone gives them credit for. But I'll just let you see when they are cutting down the nets at the 14 region tournament.
