Weather it was called or not that just shows the class by not going to a knee.It wouldn't have happen if the kids didn't hang thier heads on the play and let the Russell QB player get those yards. Russell had the same situation at Ashland. We hung our heads and they got the better of us. But not once did we say that they had no class. We got beat. If we were beat by 1 or by 100 I don't think I would say they had no class. Our kids hung thier heads and Ashland kept them HIGH. The same happened to LC they gave up after the last drive failed.

You gotta admit the QB sneak is not a play that is designed to pick up big yardage or run up the score. Its not like they were passing or Running some sort of trick play. I still think he was supposed to take a knee.

Class. No Class. We all know that was not the intention of Ivan. He is a class act. Anyone who thinks otherwise has been on another plant for the past 30 years. I think his name stands for itself. There was nop intention to run up the score. Period.
Both teams wanted the win. Russell was able to pull it out. LC has a great football team that they need to be proud of.

I would say the Dawgs win the next two games. I believe they have Greenup County and Rowan County back to back. IMO they win each of those games easily.

Congrats to the Red Devils. Lawrence CO. has nothing to hang there heads about. They could have very easily been up 28-27, or at least tied 27-27 with
2 min. to go. They were moving the ball with easy down the field on that drive. On 3rd down they had a hugh hole on the right side and #13 Abrams filled it quickly (from the other side of the field) or it would have been 6 pts. Then the QB tried to needle one on 4th down and it came up incomplete. So LC made a very good showing.
Russell's left side of the Offense line needs to block or make a change. Pressure from Law Co. , Ashland, Boyd Co. all came from the left side of the ball ????? These other teams will pick up on that and really make the Red Devils pay.
Lewis next week and then the meat of the schedule is coming up.

Since LC has played 2 early playoff foes for Russell. I would like to hear form them how they think Russell will stack up against SC and Belfry this year. I assume both are better, but maybe we could hear about where we need to improve so that we can hopefully keep the season going when those games come.

I wouldn't assume to much.

Good win for the RedDevils against a good Lawrence county team.

I get the pleasure of reading hidden posts on here that are not very nice.....
After reading the posts , I have just a few words for you.......
AJ Cordle knows class. He has set on the sidelines for the last 2 years and came in when he was suppose to and did his job.. No crying, no whining on the sidelines.... All I can say is I have to agree with the other posts..... Too much time on the clock to knee the ball and too close to the endzone. Get the first down and then knee the ball.. Just get the first down, but if the hole is there on a sneak do you want to just run and take a knee, For one that would be taunting the other team.. if you break it you can not run out of bounds becasue that would stop the clock and defeat the purpose too.
I tend to fire off words that make people mad when I am upset or feel I or my kids have been wronged... I will say that even thou people might say that it was bad to do that.. You had to get the first down first before you kneel the ball..... We learn from mistakes but it takes a better person to realize it.......
I know you feel that it was not right and some may agree.. It was a no win situation. get the first down or do something.. You can not take a chance of turning the ball over on the 10 have LC score with alot of time left.. Kick and onside kick and be right there to win....... Come on,, You know football better than alot of people.. LC could have done that if they had the chance.. They are very good and will go very deep in the playoffs.. may even be the best 4A school in the EAST,, They will pound BOYD next time they ar matched up....I would almost bet on it....

This is one of those threads that gets beat to death. One man's opinion doesn't change any history or one's class. We know where LC stands and where RHS stands. If they want some more see ya next year! I wish all the luck in the world to LC and hope you all become an Eastern Kentucky power house!!! YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL!!!
