These rankings are based on opinion and record. If these ranking had any base in fact Breathitt and Prestonsburg would be ranked next to each other because they are basically mirror images of one another and played to a virtual tie this season.

Sounds like you're not so down now compared to the "Breathitt has no heart this year" posts you wrote in the P-burg/Breathitt game thread.

Can I assume you're now convinced the Blackcats are "for real" (and by extension, the Bobcats are pretty good, too) ?!?

Ashland and Russell is not the mountain. Johnson Central is not a 1/ Until johnson Central beat Belfry, they will stay at #3, Hazard will beat them in a few weeks.

It seems that every time I question the "heart" of the Bobcats good things happen. That is the reason I said it....I know when the Bobcats feel like their manhood is being challenged they get upset and play better. Prestonsburg is a good team, but they are not that much better than Breathitt. I have always thought that the Blackcats were a good team, and have said nothing to lead one in thinking otherwise. You can assume anying you want, but the fact is that I have an opinion and so do you.....Neither one of us is more "right" than the other.

I really do not believe that Hazard will beat JC. The Eagles are too big, strong, and fast, but Hazard may play them tough for a while.

In that thread you made it sound like Breathitt Co. was no-hearted and wayyyy down when the team I watched that night did NOT play like that at all. I was merely emphasizing that the Bobcats loss to the Blackcats was not the end of the world for Breathitt Co. this season.

And yes, the game was very evenly played by the two teams that night. You should have been there. It was a very good ballgame (and I'd say that even if the end result went the other way).

Just a few of these teams have played a tough schedule thus far. I can't see how to justify this when only a handful have quality wins.

This is mountain top ten. Not the top ten single a schools in the mountains. Paintsville couldn't hang with any school on that list. They are just blessed to be in the weekest class in the state this year. And one of the weekest districts out of that class.

These two teams always put on a good show and it is usually close. I enjoy watching this game more than I enjoy watching the others on the Breathitt schedule because the intensity that both team play with. I am in no way saying that Prestonsburg is not a good team, just that they are not much better than Breathitt and in the rankings Breathitt is nowhere to be found, thus making it look as if the ranking are based on record only.....
