Seems to be the consensus around the Warrior camp since he was at the ER/Johnson Central basketball game the other night with the entire family in tow!! I have also heard an assistant from Letcher Central is in the running.

It was 6-0 in the first quarter but unfounually football games are played in four quarters not one. I tried to make the same point about two years ago when we had them tied with us at ER 8-8 at half time. their responses were very similar to the ones you will probally get.

225 all the way across?? Not Wolvarine, not Matt K, MAYBE Kieth May is close. Wes and Kyi are pretty good size, but Wes has little experience. I wish he were agressive. The line is gonna be a big weakness. only 2 of those 5 are even lifting from what I was told.

Unfortunately the score at the end of a quarter don't count for much. Our problem has ALWAYS been giving up in the second half.

So when are they going to hire a new coach! They need to hurry and do this so they can get somewhat of a system for the boys to kind of know what they need to work on! Get a lifting program, and to get to know the boys before the season starts. Any rumors of who might get it? I would like to know more about the Assistant Coach from LCC if anyone has anything?

My information specialist tells me that the Joey Thacker era begins Tuesday on the Ridge. Best of luck to all involved as he has one huge undertaking to get this program established. I hope the Warriors have a good spring and enjoy the Franklin system that Thacker has had success with in Central Kentucky.

I've found it to be quite interesting that we didn't hear about anyone getting interviewed for this job? I would be interested to hear who was even given the opportunity or was this a "closed hiring"? Anyone have any information on when the interviews were conducted or who got an interview?

So from what you are saying Joey Thacker will be the offical HC on Tuesday? That mean Steve Taylor and Robert Kiser are going to be working the practice on Monday?

you cant build a program in 1 year...they need a coach that knows what he is diong and will discipline those boys and get them in the weight room...by far the worst program i ever played for...i went from a saftey to a offensive lineman...no big boys at all... everyone in that school is too lazy to play i see it everyday
03-24-2008, 11:03 PM
they were alot of new faces that came today ready for spring pratice even though it got called off because steve taylor had a track meet and robert kiser couldn't make it.most of them are pretty good size boys that played for EC about 2 years ago that went to the championship game with virgie in jr high i know high school is alot diffrent than jr high but it was good to see that now that we got a good coach from a sucessful program they are wanting to play football i think that is the reason that they didnt want to come out and play in the first place.i just hope that they stick with it and dont quit like the kids did last year.
03-24-2008, 11:14 PM
I hate to be a "Negitave Nancy" here but about 3/4 of the kids that were in that meeting will quit by the time of the first scrimmage rolls around. I love all my teammates like brothers but you could tell who would stick with the program the moment you walked in there.
03-25-2008, 12:28 AM
oh..i kno that alot of the players will quit but most of the players that are playing for sure that have been playing for years now wasnt even in there but i would like to see them stick with it and make us deep in depth.we have alot of talent at ER we just need to get all them in the weight room and the ones that aint lifting right now will show when they come out this year i know that the 8 th graders have been lifting pretty hard evry since january and high school has been lifting every since about a week after football was over.

People run their mouths on the Warriors when they are down, so go ahead for now. Its getting ready to turn the corner. Then you know it alls can bad mouth them . Good luck to the new head coach Joey Thacker.

Well, now that ER has a new coach. I think it's about time you guys that are putting in the time pumping iron should be like Silent Bob, and let your actions prove your worth on the football field. You will be stronger, and faster. But that's just the beginning of good things to come. You'll lose some games, but in a couple of years with Coach Thacker, you'll shut everybody up. Now is the time to change the negative attitudes around the school and on the field. If it pokes it's little head up, knock it down quick. Because it's not what you want. And as far as the naysayers, hush up and give the WARRIORS a chance to prove themselves. Support them, cause it's what's right. That's all I have to say about that.
