I don't know what you guys think, but those Belfry Pirates are looking really good. 4 players on this team have the ability to throw it down with some authority. They have am 6'8" 320 exchange student from Russia leading the way. Along with May and Farley this team will be unstoppable.

Still gotta go with BS.

Two darkhorses for the title are Hazard(28-4) and Shelby Valley(24-4).
For one, Valley went to New York and played teams that are better than any team in Kentucky. If Valley gets out of the 15th they could surprise plenty of people. Next, I can't understand why Hazard isn't getting a shot from all you people. They came pretty close to beating University Heights in the All A Classic. They really could sneak up and win it all. Paintsville didn't impress me at all against Belfry, so I don't think they have a great shot.

Mason County all the way. I sure hope that Billy G. gets that offer on the way to Scottie Hopson soon, we need another player like that.

It shouldn't matter what region a team comes out of. Paintsville has one of the better and most talented starting five.

Playing a team from New York doesn't necessarily make you better especially when you get beat 30+. I guess you have to eat your words on this post cause the Tigers certainly impressed me when they whipped Valley by 9. Also Paintsville had UH beat and played them closer than what Hazard did.[/COLOR]

Lol, I had just realized that myself. They they went into double overtime, it was one of the best high school games I had ever watched. Valley was a very tough team to beat, they are gonna be hard for anyone to stop next season.

Elliot got beat by 30 points against Mason. They don't have a shot.

I have watched alot of these teams play this year and the best team as far as team play and coaching has to go to Lex Cath.. They play really good team ball and are very solid at every position.. I am not sure they will win it because alot of time the team that gets the hot hand will win but I think they play the best "team ball"...
03-16-2008, 09:37 PM
Ill say Mason Co or UHA.

Catholic also plays the best schedule year in and year out too, and that definetely comes into play, until the first time they overlook a team they should beat, and then they are done. the key for them is whether or not they stay focuse through the whole tournament.

After todays game, Lex Cath has a chance at it.
