Sleepers in the 15th?
#31
Id say that the rest of the team is pretty good, but no one knows because who has the ball the whole game...might it be Landon Slone. Man I hear him talked about all the time about how good he is and no im not saying hes bad, but he gets credited like randolph morris gets credited if anyone didnt know him they would think he was a professional ball player

P-ville like JC has a real good team, but if you don't play team ball you will not go far. MJ didn't win by himself, nor did Shaq. Who ever plays team ball will be the best.

This thread is on sleepers in the 15th, so keep it clean and on topic folks. No attacks.

Landon Slone is a sleeper, he doesn't get it. He needs a team to support him.. he is my sleeper.
#35
Landon Slone is a great player. He just gets more credit than he needs.

I dont see how a player that is ranked in the top 10 in the region could be considered or even mentioned in a sleeper thread.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

yeah thats what I was thinking. Sleepers are players who are not expected to do well or as well as they end up doing.

I just think it is going to be very interesting to see the differenced in the lists before and after this season is over.

He's a sleeper because he doesn't do the right thing when it comes to a TEAM SPORT,
so he isn't expected to do the right things. But maybe this year Bill MIke may do different because he knows the talent he has.

Are you saying that Landon isnt a top 10 player? You would most likely be one of the very very few who would say the boy cant play good enough to be in the top 10.

he would be a great player if he would play with the flow of the game. Not try to take over. Look for more opportunities, like scoring off of a rebound, driving the lane for a shot, etc.

BigEagle Wrote:the problem with landon is he has to shoot every time. If he wasn't there Paintsville would be alot better, because then they would play team ball

I don't agree that Landon shoots everytime. He does score more often than the other players, but look at the stats, Landon isn't the leading scorer every game. And I can certainly tell you that Paintsville wouldn't be better off without him. He is just a hard working kid that the other players can depend on usually (unless he has an off night). But JD does his share and so do the others. I think that the jealousy probs from last year have taken care of themselves.

I think the biggest sleeper team is Shelby Valley. They are still young, but on a given night they can play with anyone.

When this season is over, Ashley Hatfield and Taylor Newsome will be known as the two sleeper players in the region and they both play for Shelby Valley!

I agree with that statement but also think there are 5 or 6 teams that will win on any given night. It will depend on which team is hot that night as to who will win when they play.

I agree!

Magoffin county is a good sleeper team IMO.

Shelby Valley will be the sleeper team in the 15th this year. With Logan Bryant, Justice, Hatfield, Newsome, nobody will be able to touch them.
