I didn’t see that coming. Just when you thought the tigers were down and out they pull this. They just beat the region favorite pick of half the people i know. They can rebound the ball. They struggle to shoot almost as bad as corbin. They bring the toughness and if they hit shots they can beat anybody in the 13th. The tigers will be fired up at corbin monday. I can also assure you north will be eager to beat the brakes off corbin tuesday. Then pulaski after that. It could be a rough 3 game stretch for the young hounds. I am really looking forward to seeing how they respond.

Not been on here much been under the weather for what seems like a month. The tigers came in with claws out awesome atmosphere too. I was very impressed with the job Dezarn and Grubb did on Davidson. Those two and Hooker had a great offensive night. If the tigers could have kept there foot on the gas it could have been very embarrassing for the jags.  Clearly Valentine is going to force feed it to Davidson. Jones plan showed he was going to make some one else beat them. But lets be honest like a post i saw earlier said Valentine is overrated! He isn't over rated he is just not a good coach. Watched him last night on the side line the man seems lost he is great at complaining and working the refs. He has 3 coaches on the bench who could do as good or better than him with that group, actually two of them have been at north middle school for years and done a great job with it. They definitely have put it to us for a few years. Valentine has yet to have success without at least two studs on any team he has coached. Nonetheless great win for the Black and Gold.

Only a coach as bad as Valentine could pull this off. Let's see how the Tigers fare against a real coach on Monday.

Clay County can beat anyone in the region outside of South (right now). I just think the Cardinals are a horrible matchup problem for the Tigers. It doesn’t mean they’re going to win region but they also had Harlan County beat in the WYMT just a few weeks ago. It should be noted Clay won OT with Grubb (typically tallest player) on the bench and he was on the bench the final few minutes of regulation after fouling out. Lot of season left to play however.

You are being to kind lol. Valentine is Human waste. Can't wait for him to leave. Can't win without bigtime players. #LOSER

North Laurel couldn’t handle the Tigers! It took a ton of 3’a from the Tigers but who cares WE WON!!

Tiger den magic on Friday night.

The new basketball museum is very well done. Kudos to Mike White and all those who made that a reality.

Not sure why anyone expected a North blowout. Clay won big in last year's district finals and both lost a couple of starters. I'm sure Clay's losses hurt more, but I'd still imagine they are pretty close this year.

If Harlan Co is a consensus 2-3 team in the region I’m not sure why anyone is surprised by this score. If SL is the best team in the region by a decent margin spots 2-6 must be very, very close.

I wasn’t there, but I was told North was up three at the end of regulation, didn’t foul, and Clay hit a three to force overtime. Is that true? Whether it is or not, when are coaches gonna quit making this mistake??? Up three, other team with the ball time running out, foul them! Chances of an overtime are much, much less.

Exactly what happened. There was a timeout before and I was sure they would foul, especially since Clay really struggles from the line. The Tigers were also without their tallest and most athletic player the final minute or two and OT.

I've had South as the favorite since last March, but I don't know if there is a massive gap there.
Harlan County, at full strength, beat Lloyd Memorial at Ashland when Lloyd was ranked second in the state by KSR.
