Top 10 Incoming Freshman Point Guards in Kentucky?
#31
3 points Wrote:So, you own Blue Grass Rivals?

No, but tell me this, what does a AAU team have to do with incoming freshmen point guards? Why not talk about them on the high school team, or the freshman team they are going to be on instead of talking about their AAU team?

I don't understand why it bothers you so much.

The dude that started this thread is connected with another AAU team. He mentions Chad Jackson, Ryan Popp, and another one or two of their players.

Does this thread have anything to do with a AAU team? The "dude" that started it may play for another AAU team, but he doesnt mention them. As far as I know, AAU does not list players as freshman, sophmores, juniors, or seniors. They list them as 14 and under, 15 and under, ect. ect. ect. So this thread has NOTHING to do with AAU teams. Same as many of the other threads you gotta stick the lightning in with.

Exactly, it was not intended to be specific to AAU.

Do you by chance play for the Lightning 3-point? "Dude" isn't a term used by most parents.

I believe you wrote a little something by each name telling who each point guard plays for. Kentucky Patriots and 2 or 3 names that they go by and EKL and how they were hold backs, but you didn't say Jackson was a hold back.

I really don't either.

Mr Moderator, does the title of this thread say anything about a AAU team? I thought the responses supposed to be about the topic?

The guy started the thread off by telling what AAU team the players played on. Which was not nessesary.

They chose this tournament to go to because some of the boys went to Australia right after this tournament . One of their players made the all tournament team. The same player made the all tournament team in the Kentucky High School AAU tournament as an 8th grader. He is the second 8th grader to do that. He was 8th in the state in free throws. as an 8th grader. Two of them made the 53rd and 14 region all tournament teams . Three of the boys won the middle school tournament as 7th graders and made that all tournament team as did one who was not on the Virgie team. He made it because he was high point man in the tournament .They have done very well and they have won many awards over the last 4 years. They came in 6th place in AAU in Memphis as 13U . This year they will all be in High School, and I am sure they will make their schools proud. 3 of them are guards for their school's teams.

He didnt say nothing like this.... give it up, your middle school glory days are over, try to as well in high school as you all did in middle school and AAU then talk about yourselfs as much as you want. But try to stick to thread titles. Mr moderator supposed to agree with that comment too, but I forgot he is a valley supporter also.

What is your day job? Iwouldn't give it up to try and keep the posters on blue grass rivals straight. You post 2.32 posts a day. I think they have some one doing that already. You just seem to want to take care of everybody, when you don't seem to have anyone involved. or do you? Thanks for reprinting that article.

You just don't worry about the Glory days as they are just beginning . No one needs your approval to speak.

The last time I heard about the glory days just beginning was the day before the all mighty lightning team went 0-2 against teams in what is supposed to be the worst region in the state... let the glory begin.

Sorry you must be mistaken. I don't remember that and you don't either. You have lost it.

He is talking about that tournament at Pike Central where the team was split playing another high school tournament and didn't play together untill the last day. just before they went to Orlando. Has nothing to do with the up coming year. I remember somebody getting beat 40 pts. last year but that has nothing to do with this season coming up either.

Yes, but that was only for an additional point of reference for people. This thread was not intended to brag about AAU teams. Besides, what do you have against the Patriots anyway?

I've already noted before that Jackson is not technically a holdback because he was playing up before he stayed back. He was young for his grade before he chose to stay back in the correct grade.

Are you also "In My Opinion" on Blue Grass Preps? I see very similar responses there. Nothing wrong with being proud of your team, but you should be able to allow other people to talk about other players and teams without getting jealous, criticizing other teams and players, and/or always trying to change the topic to your own team and players.

I agree with the bold print 100%!!! Just like you should agree that AAU ball with players from 3 or 4 different high school teams has nothing to do with this season either.

Why did the boy leave Rose Hill? So he could get away from the Patriot coaches?

Wrong again I think. Rolleyes

Being able to play basketball AND football for his hometown school was the main motivation. Rose Hill doesn't have football. It is a good move for him. He is a very good football player, and he will have the best of both worlds now.

I am sure you are right. it would have nothing to do with anything else. Everyone knows they treat all their players just the same. You just want him to be happy, where ever he goes. I sure wish him well and that he will get to show what he can do.

I agree with that statement. Tate is a VERY talented player.

Several good guards in the 14th. I don't know about freshmen guards. 15 th has some good freshman guards. Stamper from the 14th from KCC is a good guard, not sure if he plays the point. I think he plays 2 guard.
